2008 escape. where is the original door lock keypad factory code. i have an 08 escape for my wife, and i found the code on the owners card in the manual. i have another 08 for my daughter, and i have no owners card to reference. i know there are several possible places to check. does anyone know where the code is at, from experience? thanks

Then gently pry the console top upward starting at rear with a thin putty knife and screwdriver, then lift rear of console cover up and over into a vertical position and then slide it upward while it is in front of gear select stick. The code print is small just as shown in picture, about #10 size in computer print. Mine was on left rear of SJB as shown in their picture.

If you're having trouble tracking down the key code, you can always bring the Escape to your dealership. The codes may be obtained by diagnostic equipment; keep in mind there may be a charge for this service. Once you're at the dealership, you'll be required to provide personal identification (such as a Driver's License) and vehicle documentation that has both the VIN and the name of the person seeking the key codes.
