You need the original factory code to change it. Lock module is behind glove box, should be 5 digit # on sticker. to change it, enter original 5 digit code then hit 1, then new 5 digit code within 5 seconds. if battery goes dead will revert back to original code. hope this helps
Unless you leave the truck unlocked, no one can get access to the code. If you leave it unlocked, what is the point. This information is not hard to obtain from a dealer. Think about it.
I am looking to find the factory unlock codes for the door keypad on a 2006 F-250 SD. Or if anybody has the instructions for resetting the door codes.
First, Welcome to FTE.
There are 3 ways to get the code.
1. The truck should've come with a plastic card (the size and shape of a credit card) that has the permanent code (which applies only to your keypad) and instructions for resetting the keypad. It's usually located in the case with the Owners Guide, Warranty Guide, etc.
2. On the Body Security Module (BSM, which used to be called a VSM) which is located above the tranny hump behind the dash.
3. The dealer can pull the code using their diagnostic computer.

I thought he was talking about a master unlock code not the one that was on the ECU. You're right...
