Looking at a really clean 05 hybrid. AWD/Automatic. 151K mi.
They are asking $6995, but due to the high miles and I'm paying cash I may be able to bump that price down.

I need some quick schooling on the upside/downside of being in the hybrid club.

-Is it very reliable if properly maintained?

-Are maintenance costs much higher than a gas-only drivetrain?

-What kind of batteries does it use, and how often do they need replaced?

-I'm good at doing my own mechanical work, but how much really needs to be done by an experienced hybrid tech?

-What are the top 4 or 5 things to look at when evaluating the vehicle?
