Okay first I must again apologize to those people waiting to get approved for this chapter. Due to recent RL problems I have been amiss in checking to see if anyone wanted to join our nice little chapter. And just remembered to do so today, and found four requests, one of them dated as far back as Jan 23rd of this year. I have approved all four requests. Everyone, please welcome:
BennyHo who has a 1968 f350 and is the one who requested to join way back in January of this year. My sincerest apologies for the delay in getting around to approve you.
Tango7oac with a 76 f100 Custom who might be interested in selling it to a good home.
Cookie M0nster who I believe lives in the Redding area.
and last but not least, CMG 1985. Welcome all to the Nor Cal chapter, and if you don't mind, maybe tell us a little about yourselves and your Ford trucks.

Thanks for the invite !
A little bit about myself...
I live in Redding and have lived in C.A most of life, up to the age of 17. At age 17 i joined the United States Marine Corps. I did 2 tours in Iraq, Camp Fallujah. I am currently in school and i graduate this May. I am also engaged and will be married the day after graduation!!! Then we head to North Carolina so i can attend Seminary at South Eastern. My goal is to be a Chaplain. I was thinking about going back into the Military but i will most likely become a V.A Hospital Chaplain.
My Ford truck is yet to be determined! So here is the situation... As i have stated above my Fiance (soon to be wife) and I are moving back East for School. Instead of me investing $1,750-2,000 dollars into a moving truck i have decided to invest that into a truck. I am already planing on giving my Fiance my car. I have a friend who is going to sell me a Car Hauler for $100. All it needs is tires and electrical fixed. The lights dont light up.
SO!!! I started off looking for a 7.3l then i read about Bullet Proofing and i have now expanded my search to include 6.0l. I have been told to aim for 2005-2007 so...
I am looking for: 2005-2007 Ford F250 CC SB 4x4.
Ready for the catch? My fiance and I have a $15,000 dollar budget to buy the TRUCK, TAX, TITTLE, LICENCE, REGISTRATION and ANY THING THAT NEEDS FIXING! That limit might go up when we get tax return, or the down payment will get higher. O, and i cant forget that we have a dead line Mid June. If i cant get a truck by then and fixed/up to snuff for a 3,000 miles trip. Then it looks like a rental it will be >_<.

Everyone please welcome our newest member, although he may have to change his nickname. LOL
robs97z28
Welcome to the Nor Cal chapter. I am guessing his name is Rob, and he lives in the bay area. So, Rob, tell us a little about yourself, and your ford truck(s) if you own any.

Hi All,
Just bought my first diesel truck and my 2nd 4WD. ('96 Landcruiser) I have had trucks before and I have 2 Cat 3208s in my boat but first diesel truck.
The truck is an '06 Lariat Crew Cab with 69,000 miles. I did a lot of research on the 6.0 and the one message that kept coming through was to buy '06 or '07 and get one that is bone stock. That's what I did.
As I mentioned, I have a large boat with twin Cats that is for sale and I recently bought back a boat I originally owned through the 90s. I had a chance to get it back and it is undergoing restoration. I needed the truck to tow this boat as the wife's Honda Pilot wasn't going to do the towing.
I've owned other makes over the years but Ford is always my first choice. My wife is only 5' tall so the Lariat with the adjustable pedals was a must have and we travel with 2 85 lb. dogs so I needed that crew cab.
I'm pleased to be accepted to the NorCal Chapter and I was reading about the upcoming Ghost Town event and I was wondering how difficult the trip will be for a novice 4-wheeler.
Thanks
Shawn
