Still have tuning to do but the truck has truly come alive now. .
So how is the A3000 doing as far as providing enough air to burn 180cc's of fuel? Is it enough turbo for a DB4?

I have the pump turned down for now till a issue is worked thru on reliability. Dont want to destroy pump for no reason. Running it around 300 hp or alittle over right now, truck runs great, turbo continues to be very responsive. I am very happy with it so far. It will be nice when I will be able to take full advantage of the pumps capabilities.

How many pounds of boost are you making with it turned down like that? Still 300hp from an IDI is still cool!!!

Have you gotten enough miles on it to try pulling it?

No not really... I just thought your boost was slightly low since the last time you said that you were running 180cc. Now I understand why...You never explained before that the fuel was turned down. You said you were running a 180cc IP and that should have netted you more boost than the mid 20s like you are at now and what you have been previously. Otherwise you would have been closer to 35-40psi with that much fuel. Just sayin...

I was just giving you some s--t. After what happened to Justins pump decided to keep it lower for now and work on a fix for the issue. I am not sure what racin is doing but I have ordered some components to test and see if they will take care of the issue, should arrive next week sometime.

The base pump is still set to allow 180cc but gov is set to keep it cut back for now.

Currently getting the truck and camper ready to head out tomorrow to a job site 400 miles away. Decided to leave tomorrow morning so I have all day to get where I am going. Might need to stop some for adjustments and so forth, and just want to enjoy the trip and not be so rushed for a change.

Fair enough. Lol. It just seemed a bit low before and its always good to protect your investment. That makes sense to keep it low for now.

I look forward to hearing how it drives. Be sure to note cruise egts and stuff like that. Its always interesting to hear how new performance parts perform in everyday situations.

Well I made it out to SD towing my camper today, over 400 miles. The truck pulled the camper with ease and power to spare. Hills that in the past would have down shifted me out of overdrive and slowed me down where not even a problem and never came out of OD. Cruising 70-75 thru the flat country and mild rolling hills boost ran between 8-12 in the flats and mild hills ran 10-16 with egts ranging from 800-1000. When hitting the steaper longer hills that would have slowed me down in the past boost ran between 18-22 with egts peaking around 1100-1150 max.

I still need to do some adjustments to throttle sensor and possibly timing but over all the truck ran very well. I will be checking the truck all over tomorrow just to double check everything after the trip.

It is about a 25-26 foot fifth wheel weighing alittle over 7000 lbs loaded. Truck weighs over 7700 with the two factory fuel tanks full.
