Ground is good, NO codes what so ever... Picked up a VSS yesterday evening but haven't got it in yet.

You need to actually test the ground. Disconnect the harness from the 4x4 module, then take a jumper lead, hook it to B+ and then to one side of a sealed beam. Take your other jumper, hook it to the other side of the test lead and then ONLY to the the black wire in the harness you just disconnected.
Does the sealed beam light up, or is it dim?
