Been a good while since had to ask for help "ya" but the shift on the fly is not shifting. Checked all fuses#31 and #33 inside and the 30amp fuse under the hood #3 I think is it.... This is on 05 F-350 with 6.0. Anybody got a idea?
Checked the motor, yellow and orange wires no power to them. Checked the switch, getting power to it, when Ohm the switch out #1 & #4 pins on the switch ohm, turn the switch to 4h and 4L but can not get #2 & #3 pins to OHM out, but I believe that #3 was the hot coming in to the switch? I suck at electrical
If the fuses are good and you are not getting power to the shift motor but you are getting power to the switch(or some function of the switch) it has to be a relay or broken wire.
I am not familiar enough with the wiring on the newer SDs to be of any more help.
This is a motor with a switched ground/power and several sense wires coming off of it.
Just as a check, your xfer case has a ORG/WHT, WHT, BRN/WHT, VIO/YEL, BLK/PNK, ORG, YEL, and ORG coming off of it right? (2 different gauges of orange)
You will only have power on the bigger gauge orange and the yellow wire when the motor is being commanded on.
Have someone switch the 4x4 shifter in the cab back and forth slowly, put your fingers on the transfer case relays. Do they click?
If yes, then we move downstream to motor issues. If no, the we move upstream to switch or 4x4 module issues.
