I understand these among others are going in the reserved level. It's going to be interesting to see the face lifts and alterations that have been done to the stadium.

Newcombe, Hersheiser, Kershaw, Drysdale, Valenzuela, Koufax

Only name that does not sound familiar to me is Kershaw. The others I know.

At first I couldn't see how Kershaw fit with the other names, since he is actively pitching and they are all retired. Then it dawned on me that all six of them have won the Cy Young award at least once.

This make me nostalgic. I grew up using a lot of that same equipment. Not line shaft driven, it had been converted to individual motors by then, but other than that it looks the same.

Jeez Bill that was one of the coolest stories I've ever seen.
Not only the tools, but the guys and their way of life.
Makes me nostalgic about our country and the vanishing craftsman.
Thanks so much for sharing that.
And it was shot well too.

Not going, but my wife works about 1/4 mile from the track. Which is a problem for the company, because they have trucks in/out of the warehouse all weekend. I think they've got a special dispensation now, but they used to have to close down on race weekends. She often sees the race crew trucks during the week or two before the race.
