I wonder what the perspective is. One would think it's looking North, but...
Looks like a really narrow, deep slot canyon there on the far right. Snow on the ground in the valley above it

The shadows say that you are looking north, but I'm pretty sure that the geologic features aren't found in the flight path to St Louis from LAX.
Initially I was thinking front range south of Denver. But the shadows would be on the opposite side of the ridges.
Gonna look more.

The big mountain is Blanca Peak (go figure)
The sand dunes are Great Sand Dune National Preserve.
