I'm heading down to Ojai tomorrow to meet up with the family at Lake Casitas. Supposedly the house in Ventura is getting tented so they decided to go camping for the weekend. Also dad put a 9 foot flatbed on his 250 because the new red buggy is bigger than the old one so I get to check that out too.
Dunno we've been in that house since 99 I think and this is the first time I remember it being tented. I know they did find some termite damage last month in the siding so I think this time is just in response to that
Wow, that's impressive. I wonder what they are using for positional feedback. If it's onboard the vehicle, that is some impressive programming.
I just found out today that Jerry Oxman died a couple of weeks ago. Ever been to Oxman's Surplus in La Mirada? About the coolest store ever. He was a cool dude.

Those things are pretty cool. Robots kinda freak me out, though. I get uncomfortable considering their possible uses...
I don't know which guy was Jerry, but I've been in that store lots of times. It's about the only one around (that I know of, anyway) that has actual "surplus" stuff. Always some interesting items sitting around outside.

I just found out about the two places that continue to sell all of the stuff that used to be at Joe Factor Sales in Burbank. It took two places to absorb all that stuff!
No, I guess not. That would feel like freeloading. I wasn't a regular customer. Or maybe it is because this memorial feels a lot like promotion. But I won't judge. He was a well liked guy by the community.
I went to Harbor Freight this morning for a chop saw that I've been needing for a while. Got that, and needed some blue painters tape so I checked their prices. A roll of 2" HF brand was almost $6, so I figured they were pricing it where you might buy it impulsively, and I had to go to HD anyway so I didn't get any.
Get to HD, and their price for 3M is over $6. And it isn't 2" anymore, it is 1.88". This is something I used to pay $2 for, and throw a few rolls in the basket just for stock.
Hes planning on adding front and rear facing lights (Rigids most likely) and a a battery in one box for running tools and to act as a backup if the main ever dies. Itll be tied in to the existing electrical to charge it.
