No ****?.................lol

Came home to find 4 messages on the phone. Three calls for broke down harvest equipment, and a lady wanting to rent the house that will be vacant this Sunday and will need some work. I need some clones.....

I have underlings to perform tasks.........

It's good to be mid-level on the totem pole.

Yes, I still have all of them. Been driving that Galaxie sense 1973, her name is Bertha. And that 66 I've had sense 1979.

Good evening Oregon. Home from the farm. No skunks tonight, but it is obvious there are still some around the horse barn and that they have been fighting with the cats today. We now have doors wide open letting the sea breeze blow through.

I gotta think they would do a number on 2 legged pests as well.
Yes, they have always performed at or beyond expectations for me. I have some magazines for my 10/22 that will not function reliably unless they are loaded with Stingers. I do know of a couple of buck deer that dropped right in their tracks from collisions with CCI Stingers in years past.

They are VERY impressive when fired from a short barreled pistol.
The muzzle flash and sound from Stingers in my Walther P-22 resemble a 9mm far more than a .22lr
Though the muzzle flash is lost energy and velocity, it's still real impressive.

Sometimes the light show is more than half the fun. About the shortest barrel I have to shoot them from is my S&W K22 Masterpiece 4". (My pocket Beretta hideaway is .22 Short only) But in low light you do get the muzzle effect as well as the cylinder show.

My Ruger MKIV bull barrel snaps quite sharply and nicely with the stingers.

I have 2 boxes of Aguila "Supra-Max" .22lr 36gr hollowpoints I bought off Cabela's on-line some years back, they claim 1,750fps and hotter than Stingers, I haven't fired any yet, but it might be interesting to try them out of my S&W mod 422. The add claimed they were like putting a .22 mag in your .22lr.
I don't think I would run them through the P-22.

Out of a rifle where they develop full ballistics, they might be real impressive.

Sounds like they would be almost like shooting 22 hornets, but yes I think I would keep them to heavier guns unless I absolutely new the CUP was within limits.

Seems like I read in one of my books that it takes something like a 16" barrel to obtain optimal burn on a 22 LR and at 16.5" you begin to suffer barrel friction loss - point of diminishing return.

O.K. life just got much better. Elk hunting and fishing partner has just let me know that I am to pick him up at 0415 Friday morning so I can take him to Depot Bay. Once there we will depart on his #2 sons boat and head out for some Halibut. After the halibut are on board, we will continue on for Tuna. I can see a weekend of canning coming up.

The data shows 204 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle............That's seriously more than a .25acp or .32acp.

I cringe when I hear someone say, "It's just a .22".

According to FBI statistics, .22s put more people in the ground in the US than all other calibers combined.

I was thinking the same thing. I haven't been able to get out for 'buts this year and I was beginning to panic. I can only find a couple packages of 'but steaks in the freezer.

Tuna, well that's a so so. They are fun to catch, but.............We got carried away last time, got back to port around 1900 and didn't finish fileting tuna until 0300. Crashed for 3 or 4 hours before we could even drive home.

We had been discussing taking my boat, but his son has a 24' Trophy which will be much better platform to go crazy on.

I have been off the bar at Winchester bay in my 15ft-er'.........not too smart, but it was a nice day.

A 24' sounds like the USS Ronald Reagan to me!

I have no problem taking my 20' deep V across the bar, within reason of course. I have a 42 gal tank and the 305 chebby has a pretty good range. Always carry two extra 5 gal cans of gas when we cross the bar. It has room to fish but, it is still a "run about" class and is a little restricted on elbow room.

Mat has a 75 gal tank and his boat is made for one purpose - fishing. Open rear deck and lots of flinging room.

The last two times I crossed the bar at Winchester Bay, I wished I hadn't. That bar can get real snotty in a real big hurry. I might take a 15 out of Newport or Charleston, but it would have to be a super nice day and some really hot fishing to get me across the Winchester or Tillamook bars in a 15. Wait scratch Tillamook. There ain't no way, no how in this lifetime or the next 10 lifetimes that you are going to get me across the Tillamook bar in a 15 footer!
