Morning Rob! I got a call yesterday from my local scrapper buddy. He picked up an old school steam cleaner and wanted to know if I wanted it. Harley and I went and checked it out, and it works great! I bought it for 2 hundred bucks.............grin!
Sorry to hear that Jim. I hope you hear from them soon and that they are all okay.
Glad to hear you are still on track. I was just wondering about you yesterday trying to decide if you were just buried in the "getting smart" business or if the little lady had simply hit you over the head with the lap top.
Still haven't heard anything back about my daughter's out laws. Of course I get all the news 2nd hand from my wife. Daughter calls or sends the wife a text. The only time I get a call or a text is when they need something done.
Morning Rob. Trying to finish up the truck Harley and I were working on yesterday. Just got off the phone with one of the county Commissioners. Spent the last hour and a half talking about the radar base and my plans for it. So far, I have all their support.
I did have a steam cleaner, but the coil is bad. this one works just great, and the price was definitely good!
Gotta go guys! Running way behind this morning........
I just sent an email to Mikes buddy in LaPine about the vertical milling machine. We'll see how it goes.......
Big wreck on the McKenzie hwy tonight, road closed, detour............How do you wreck in the middle of a perfectly straight road, through the little town of Leaburg with a 45 mph speed limit?

Well Dave, you start off by completely ignoring the fact that this is Oregon (something folks (idiots) from Cali completely forget) and it rains... sometimes really hard.
Then you think that just because you drive a rice-grinder SUV with ABS and all wheel drive that you can do anything.
Finally, since you were originally from out of state, where speed limits don't matter you drive just as fast as you possibly can like you're invincible or superman.
It sometimes makes for good video or a nice show to watch while enjoying a beverage... so long as it doesn't directly affect you or a loved one.
We've got a lawsuit against the County where I work. The driver of the car suing the County was driving... Most likely too fast, although there isn't any hard evidence to prove it. She must have been looking down at a phone or reaching for something in the passenger seat. When she looked up a car had pulled out in front of her. Instead of rear ending the car, she swerved and hit a train trestle. Luckily, or not, she hit the pillars that were 10 feet off the road and were designed to slip on their footings. She pushed them completely over... They are the size of telephone poles. If she had been two feet further from the roadway she would have been completely outside the county road. Two feet towards the road and she would have struck the fixed piling... surely killing the driver.
So what does the lady do but try to sue the county for having an obstruction in the roadway... The trestle has been there for just over 100 years.
Evening guys. rain, sleet, hail, just during the day today. Now We're supposed to get up to three inches of damn snow tonight! I thought this was the desert...........

Driving must be a second priority for many folks.
Never could get the legislature to pass the law I needed so I could write a ticket for, "Driving with Head Inserted up ****".
I actually screwed up once on the old Police Accident Reports. Down at the very bottom of the page they wanted you to fill in a "Primary Cause" and a "Secondary Cause". On one report I was pulling a joke on the Asst. Chief (Captain) after he had made a comment like, "Now I've seen everything, how in the $%#@ did they manage to pull that off".
I listed "DWHIUA" as the Primary and "None" as the Secondary cause. I then threw it on the Capt.'s desk and left the office for (and I hate to say this) coffee and a donut.
Well one thing led to another, I got a "hot" call, never made to the Donut Hole and got busy as heck for the next several hours. The mornings accident report was completely forgotten about.
A couple of weeks later I was at Family Thanksgiving Dinner at my aunt's house. (She worked for a big insurance company in town) Right in the middle of dinner she asks me what "DWHIUA" stood for. I told her, the entire family (except for 1 great aunt) broke out laughing so hard they almost fell out of their chairs. When I asked her where she had observed those initials, she said they were on an accident report I had written involving one of their insured's and the adjuster had asked her to ask me what it meant. Turns out the Capt. hadn't really read the report. He had just initialed his approval in the supervisors box and sent to the clerks for distribution and filing. Oops!

Sorry to hear about the detour.
The only thing you forgot Tiny was the book size text message that one or both drivers were typing out on their phone while they were driving.

The part you forgot was "SEMI-ARID HIGH" desert.
Yeah, you don't have to say it, "Paybacks are a Mother.......".
