Back for a second guys. Just got a phone call from the owners. They had a meeting with the port last night, and I'm now authorized to continue working on preserving the buildings we are going to keep. Still can't start demo on the mess hall yet............

I just read on the news web page that Portland and Seattle are tied for the coldest large cities in the lower 48... at 46°. Nothing compared to central and eastern Oregon/Washington though.

It's still snowing , but the wind is howling, and now it's snowing sideways.......

Wet, rainy and sloppy here.
Supposed to be 50 right now, but I think it is lying. The pellet stove kicked on this morning and about scared me to death. It has an automatic thermostat and apparently I didn't shut the stove down. Came out of the bedroom at 0 dark thirty this morning and saw the reflection of flames on the walls.
After not running for nearly a month, it obviously got cool enough in the house the room sensor told it start.

Lots of big, wet snowflakes this morning, 35 deg.........Didn't stop snowing until about 5 miles east of Springfield.

Evening Dave. Been snowing here off and on all day. Sometimes sideways! It's not sticking, just making any work outside miserable. Came home early this afternoon and doing paperwork. Oh joy...
