I keep telling Melody that hitting deer is genetic and coming from HER side of the family. She has hit two, the daughter has hit three and Harley has hit two. I've driven over here for 50 years and never hit one...............lol
I hit one, when I was on security here in 2000. With my black 95 -150. Damn thing tried to jump over the hood, hit him midway with the left windshield pillar. Good thing I laid down in the seat, his back legs swung through the drivers window, knocked the rearview mirror off of the windshiled, dented the INSIDE of the door, then ripped the out rear view mirror off.
Here's a site for you gun guys. http://stevespages.com/page7b.htm .
If you need ideas for stylish looking deer smashers I can post pictures. Lots of road kill out here, I've hit one,the wifes Subaru didn't fair well but the ravens liked it.

I'm borderline at it. I always manage to get to under 15 MPH before I tag them. That just bruises them up and does minor damage. 3 in my old truck, 2 in my new truck including a MASSIVE mulie out on 14 across from Moiser and 7in my old metro. Yeah, we're talking minor if I can drive a geo metro after hitting one. Not one damaged the vehicle enough to be undriveable. Only killed one that wasn't already dead. One in the old truck and two in the metro were pre-hit and I tagged them after the first hit.
I bet if I stopped driving like a madman I'd probably miss them all.

One of the deer I hit with me metro tried jumping over me. I hit her legs with the bumper and she slid up the hood. I don't know how she didn't break the windshield. She hit the roof and flopped on the ground behind me.
I figured already thinking mmmm BACKSTRAP when I grabbed my big knife and got out. Just as I get out, she jumps up and runs off. I think there is a good chance she ran off and died, but I wasn't able to track her. I'm pretty good at spotting blood trails, but she wasn't bleeding enough to leave drops.
The worst one Allen Jr did was in my black SHO; 3 point buck mule deer jumped off a hill and landed on the nose of the hood. Hood pecked in the middle and shot the buck up over the roof and drivers side window. Horn print in drivers door and hoof print on roof.
All this talk about fast food.........
That's why we drive trucks, much easier to toss the deer in the bed of the truck, than try to stuff it in a sedans trunk!
