Got mine with 77k for 6,200 in Chicago....but had some serious underside rust and have sunk about 2k into fixing that and another 2k in mods that I wanted and needed, so in total I have about 10k in it with 80k on the clock now. V10 4WD.
I had a 1998 Suburban before I got my original Ex in 2001 but my father wanted it and he ended up buying it from me and I got the Ex to replace it. Well that Burb is still in the family has over 200k on it and still going strong. Anyway I agree those older burbs were real trucks.
I just made my decision on this dilemma last week. I grew up loving the burbs and figured I would like a tahoe. Not. The third row took up all the grocery room! I bought an astro van instead of the tahoe for the wife. For me, it was hard to choose between the Ex and the burb. I made my choice because of my liking to my 3/4 ton super duty. The Ex is the same as that to me. I like the ride and such of my super duty so I figured I would like the Ex. With the Ex, I went with the 6.0 and I am so glad I did! That thing has some ***** and is a joy to drive. A big toy tonka truck for the man who refuses to get old.
Both are nice, the burb and Ex. The Ex is a truck. I like trucks. or get an 1987 burb. They are great trucks too

That's still good plus now you are more familiar with it and nice color.
