When I first saw this thread, Glenn posted in the am, then not all day. I didn't see it till later and he still hadn't posted back, then I thought, oh no, Glenn got tired of it, and went and bought a different truck! Now I'm starting to think that again!
Come on Glenn, you really need to fill us in and rescue this poor thread!
He wouldn't just go buy a new truck without telling us what he found out with his first. I think
You guys are hilarious!! Good luck Aaron!! You guys are forgeting the time change, its only 6:22 PM here! Just got done eating.
She RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have not taken it for a ride yet but I'm 90% sure everything is OK. It started, quit but took off on the second try. Idled nice, reved up good and at the exhaust i couldn't hear any misses. Started out today by draining the oil and the HPOP. Gave each cylinder a shot of WD40 and spun it over a little. Some more damn water came out of the back cylinder on the passenger side. Put some cheap oil in and ran it with the high idle until the oil was at 190* and dumped the oil again. I didn't like the looks of the oil running along at the bottom of the heads. It has streaks in it and sorta mllky looking. So tomorrow I'm going to put some more cheap oil in and put everything back together as it warming up, maybe take it for a ride and dump the oil again. I don't see why it wouldn't run good on the road so I'm pretty happy right now. Oh, Mike said blow out the IC but I couldn't get the leaf blower down there so used the shop vac. I got a pretty good fit in there and I couldn't believe the water that came out of there, at least a pint!
Thanks you guys, It's beyond words for me. Oh my God, I'm going to start crying! LOL
Sorry I stressed all you guys out, LOL. These time changes really screw with us. We are always asking each other, what time is it in Michigan. What time is it in Nebraska. To complicate it even more AZ does not honor day light savings time. So, like right now, we are three hours different then my wife's family in Michigan and two hours different then my daughters in Omaha, ne. Then after the time change we are two hours different then eastern time and one hour different then central time. Its hard to keep track of.
Sounds like it might be a long labor, huh Aaron? Hang in there, my wife was like four or five hours but I hear these horror stories of 24 hour labor, I can't image!
Good deal Glenn! Glad things are looking up. I have to make a brake hard line modification / repair on the feed to rear soft brake line. Truly a messy job. Then fix the backup lights.
