Hey, I paid my dues. So I am a supporter. So I get a vote.

I vote for Joe (CSIPSD) and I vote for discussions of, and links to, products and services offered by non-supporting-sellers.

I was lead to believe by the title, that this forum was about transferring knowledge to Ford Truck Enthusiasts like me.*

I hope that this forum is not a subterfuge to provide a captive audience for seller-supporters to the exclusion of potentially better products and services offered by non-supporting-sellers.

If I am wrong, Owners/Moderators, etc. please stand up and tell me and all of us now.

My guess is, and I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong, that supporting non-seller-members like me - because of our raw numbers - contribute a lot more money to this site than supporting-sellers do.

If that is true, then the forum's focus should be on us - not on those who want to sell to us.

If that is not true, we need to do a membership drive or shame those who use the forum but free load for say, more than 3 years.**

We are all different pieces of meat in this FTE stew. Strong personalities just offer more flavor.

If you don't have a taste for it, don't read Joe's posts.

Joe threw out this thread out like a piece of meat to a pack of dogs*** and everyone who posted on this thread fought over it.

(It is kinda entertaining to see the different personalities exposed.)

Maybe he did it for his entertainment.

Heck, he deserves a little entertainment. I saw that movie with subtitles that he starred in and it was friggin' hilarious!

But he raised a serious issue of which I was not aware:

Dear Owners/Moderators, etc.: Is there a written or unwritten policy against discussions of, and links to, products and services offered by non-supporting-sellers?

Please tell us now, because if at any if any time I feel that anyone is censoring this forum to steer me into purchasing from a supporting-seller and away from a superior product or service offered by a non-supporting-seller, I will be calling FTE out on every thread on FTE and on every other forum of which I am a member.

* I own two Ford trucks.

** I think I joined in 2009 but didn't become a supporter till last month when I had a problem and became really appreciative of all your help.

*** I often find it helpful to think of people as if they were dogs.

You know how every forum has a unseen admin/moderator section. I think there should be an unmoderated member section.

I have been on the forums with Joe for a long time. I think he needs to sit back and think about why he has had so many issues with nearly every forum over the years. I think he has been banned from them all at some point. IMO, it boils down to personal behavior. Thats really the only thing that will get your banned from forums, generally speaking.

ON FTE, if they ask you to remove a link to ISSPRO, REMOVE IT!! These sites are privately owned and you have to follow thier rules as part of being allowed to be a member. Its really that simple.

Because I speak my mind, and dont suger coat it?

Because I post factual information that people dont like to believe?

Only one forum I am banned at now, and I do everything in my power to keep it that way...

Thats what I was getting at....

I dont understand how the information that Joe posts is something that results in banning...sure if may not be deliverred in a politically correct way or not, but its still factual information. Not to mention this is the freaking internet, why do people take things so freaking personally?

Joe:

I value your input almost every where you insert it. The only times I don;t enjoy it is when emotions start running high and things start flavoring towards the personal side of things. All in all, though, I am grateful that you're here. We can all get too cozy and sometimes too PC, and knowing that there are a few who will call a turd a turd is refreshing, even if it does happen to smell like a turd when it's called out! It helps me sometimes step away from my tendency to occasionally be too highly focused on non-value-added details.

Picture this: A man is sitting in a chair at a desk and staring into a flat piece of plastic. The flat plastic is lit, illuminating the man's face to give it a bluish glow. You see his eyes scrolling from right to left as you face him, then they dart hard right and slightly downward to scan even lower on this flat plastic. Suddenly, the brows over his eyes aim downward toward his now-wrinkled nose. A spooky glare appears in his eyes as the lids that once half-covered them now rise and disappear under his dropped brows.

He lurches abruptly for another piece of plastic with his right hand - this new object is mound-shaped with a wire draped across the desk and it fits snugly under his palm. He waves his palm like he's writing in invisible ink and starts tapping on the mound with a single finger. As if somebody fired off a starting gun, both his hands leap to a platform below the glowing flat plastic where a series of little squares fall victim to his finger-falls. While his fingers are rising, falling, and dancing about on the little squares, he leans closer to the glowing flat plastic - lighting his face more brightly. A loud "tap" is heard as his middle finger stirkes the largest little square with the backing of his whole hand and he leans back into his chair. He then reaches for a brown glass bottle and puts it to his lips while he tilts the bottle back. What just happened? It was just pixels on a screen!

LOL... Whats more enjoyable for me, is watching some people get ALL worked up about facts... I do this because I enjoy it... I enjoy watching some people get all butt hurt on the internets...

Then I go back to work, come back a few hours later, and drink...err read again.

Reminds me of the State Farm commercial. "They can't put anything on the internet that isn't true!" "Where did ya here that?" "The Internet" Lol.

This thread is silly.. I think Joe is a very helpful asset to this forum.. I guess this just reassures my feelings on why this forum is moving backward...

Maybe look to grow..

How about tapatalk?

How about you understand the knowledgeable folks here and allow them to educate?

I have seen crap go on here after IB came in that are absolutely in the interests of IB and IB only..

I miss the old days...

if it was up to me, I would've banned you a long time ago. Yes....you have lots of knowledge to share, but you are a total jerk, with zero social skills, too opinionated to look at things with the proper perspective, and you are a total jerk. (said it twice for a reason) Hey....you asked for opinions, they are like azzholes.....everybody's got one! Even you!

Obviously never had the pleasure of meeting the guy in person... He is slightly brash and opinionated, but Joe is one of the smartest and nicest guys I've met (fortunately for myself, I have had the opportunity to meet quite a few from FTE). He has his opinions, but he does speak a lot of truth as well. I think Joe is one of the many great assets to this forum, and I for one will never visit again if he is banned, that's just childish IMO.

Having said that...JOE!!!! if they lay down some ground rules and don't want you posting a certain link in your sig, just remove it. maybe take the route of PMing the link to those in need.

Thanks for all your help Joe, and for the knowledge you bring to this table we call the "Brotherhood"!

I say "grow up" to those that get offended by Joe, how old are we now? And just because you don't agree with his input, doesn't mean you are right...and vise versa!!!

I'm out!! Vote for Ron Paul!!! This is the same kind of childish, communist crap that is happening to our country
