Joe is just passionate about people going down the same paths that he did, it is his opinion and he as well as others want to share it.

No different than say...Parts store CPS's some will never have any kind of issue, but on the small percentage of people that seek help on the forum, it would appear that there is a high failure rate.

Sometimes we all just have to sit and remember "we" are a small percentage of the entire vintage of vehicle that is out there, everyday, buying parts store electronics, brakes, sensors, waterpumps, whatever.

Exactly... Killed my passion for this hobby.

Cost me over $70,000 over the years with nothing to show for it, but experience, and a few blown up motors, trannys and such.

I used to have get togethers at my house every spring, did it for 5 years...

I used to go to events all the time, have not been in years...

I wounder if I changed the link in my sig to where it was like tuglys sig... where every item in my sig was a link... hummmm

When I come across "rude" its only because I am right... well 96% of the time anyway...

Most learn this over time... Some do not.
Don't know about posts you made three years ago but sure there is more to the story. Probably just something for them to go after you.

I enjoy reading your posts and the info you pass out is great for people that dont know these engines. I learn everyday on this forum and there's thousands more that are learning. You having a link to isspro is no different then someone linking amazon in a post and I have seen mods link them before.

This whole deal about the link to Isspro in my sig got me thinking...

ISSPRO.com - Quality Gauges, Tachometers, Speedometers and more!

Please someone show me where you can even BUY anything from isspro directly on there website...

Thats right, you cant... it just gives you a link to a vendor near you.

I really do wish the moderators that have such an issue with me would speak up, lets clear the air and move foward, rather then constantly looking back at things that happened 2-3-4 years ago.

[quote=snakedoc;12288686]i think the sponsors you dont like are the #1 thing they dont like.

exactly! its not the just the mods either.....you talk bad about a certain vendor or post up your experience with them or give reasons not to go with them and you have just opened yourself up to the "good 'ol boy" club for an onslaught of bandwagoneerism and nutswinging.....

that being said.....

i think my truck has something from just about every vendor out there minus wop or irate.....not that i dont like them just got the stuff i would have bought from them elsewhere.....certain vendors have great customer service and some not so great....its obvious who does well.....now just because 96% of FTE buys from a certain vendor doesnt mean that item or particular sponsor is the only answer that should be given when questions arise about parts or products.....most of the advice on products come from guys who have only run one product (ie...38r) so anytime anyone asks about turbos everyone just blurts out 38R - 38R.....it was very common for people to talk down about t4 style turbos around here because of the cost.....now look at how many are converting to them....after a couple years alot of people's opinion have changed on the matter but for those who were willing to try an outside the box approach a few years ago, well they were scoffed at.......all joe does with his posts is try to get people to open their minds to different alternatives than the popular vote based on a lack of experience or willingness.....

im not picking on turbo advice threads i was just using that as an example.....its my opinion that there are several ways to accomplish what youre trying to achieve and just because you run a different part or product doesnt mean you or your tuck are inferior its just some people are willing to pay for it and some are not.....

I'll say it...

I think that people or moderators on this forum especially do not like you because of your opinion on a certain tuner. Period.

Personally I think this is bs. It does no one any good to be surrounded by a bunch of like minded folks. While your posts may be the definition of blunt, you are at least consistent, and generally have some kind of back up for what you say. Of course, there are people, on other forums, that have the same opinion just in a different direction, where they believe all tuners except for a certain tuner are horrible. This is completely normal. People are entitled to their opinions.

As far as a link in your sig to ISSPRO, I believe Clay is a sponsor, and an ISSPRO dealer, and I believe that multiple people have pointed this out in threads where you recommend ISSPRO. On top of that, I dont see how or why it would be a problem to have a link to ISSPRO's main site since people can buy the things on the link through a sponsor. I know when I was looking for my gauges, I went to ISSPRO's site and almost special ordered a set of gauges through Clay that were different and not shown on his site, but were on ISSPRO's site.

Anyways, I'm sad to see this site becoming as political as it is....which is why I dont spend nearly as much time over here as I used to.

Joe. We don't make it a habit to discuss moderation policies in open forum. I'm sure you're aware of that and I imagine you have a similar policy in place over at bombers.

Feel free to PM or e-mail me at any time and I will be happy to discuss any "burr" you have. If it's not something I can fix, I will find someone who can fix it....... or at least explain it better.

As far as the link goes..... it has been a long standing policy to remove/disallow commercial content from users sigs. In this forum it is probably my fault as I've been here so long I rarely even look at sigs anymore. But you, or anyone else for that matter, can bring improper content to our attention via PM or "report post" at any time and we will handle it.

Yes you have, and I appreciate it.

I'm inclined to leave this open for the moment as you clearly need to vent.... but just know that this is as much of an answer as you will get in a thread. Like I said..... contact me with your specific issues and I will do whatever I can to help you find resolution.

The biggest part of this forum (or should be) is the pooling of knowledge which benefits everyone who comes here. To ban someone with as much knowledge of our trucks as Joe has would serve to reduce that knowledge base which would be counter productive to the forum.

If anyone thinks Joe is being rude when he is giving out his free knowledge maybe they should grow thicker skin.
