OT-Curious about something...

Please take this with a grain of salt, and with what ever you want to say...

I have been told that the moderators here hate me, they "all" want be gone...

I have PM's from moderators telling me different, however I also have moderators that make it there mission in life to see me off this forum. I went to great lengths to get back on this forum after being banned for 2 years, just to simply help out where I can.

Trying to get a read on some of you, maybe the mods can come out of hiding and vent there "feelings" and "reasoning's" behind this constant static in my ear...

All of this lately comes from a simple link to Isspro's website in my sig... As all of you know, I have been testing for Isspro as a Alpha and Beta tester for 10+ years. I like the company and am personal friends with Michael. I do NOT work for Isspro, I do NOT represent the company, nor do I pretend to.

However a static link to there site in my sig has caused such an uproar I just can not understand.

Most of you link to non sponsors on a daily basis. Some of you have links to non sponsored in your own sig's... I have no issue with this, none. I recommend sponsors all the time, even linking to Riffraff for Isspro gauges and accessories...

FYI, Isspro would be a sponsor on this forum if they were not treated so poorly by management, I could not even get them to sponsor Diesel Bombers (where I am a mod) because they are an IB owned site.

Long post, but I am rather pissed about the whole thing, and you all know what happens when I get a burr up my tail pipe.

I don't havea problem with you or your link. People recommend stores or manufacturers all the time.

Maybe it has something to do with your negativity towards DP since they are a sponsors. Those that love DP get hurt feelings. I know you had a bad experience and don't want other to have to go through the same thing.

While I don't always agree with you, I find your straight forward posting style refreshing and enjoy your posts.

That being said, there have always been favorites around here, both posters and vendors. Some can do no wrong and some can do no right.

I've seen rampant cheer leading for vendors that aren't sponsors go unchecked, and casual mention of other vendors get bitch slapped. Same thing goes for saying anything critical of certain vendors.

I don't know what the resolution to your situation will be, but I hope it's not banning.

With that I got one more thing;

I'm in before the lock.

Joe,

When we first met on here, i knew less than nothing about these engines...
I had some ideas pushed into my noggin from people who didnt know these trucks as well as they thought. Because of those ideas... you and i had some harsh words for a few threads back and forth... and i made sort of a promise to you pending the results of my next oil change... and what do you know... old joe was right on the money with his suggestions.

You also answered critical questions while i was dealing with the motor coming out and going back in.

You constantly hand out experienced advise like candy that would drive most stealerships mad if they only knew the business they werent getting to rape out of people.

If anyone has a problem with you for doing what many, many others do just the same...

Can suck me sideways.

Xtof

LOL... I need to PM you my address, not because I "want" that front cover... but in case I am banned you can at least send it if you want! LOL

And to be clear, I am not looking for a good boy pat on the back... More of an exchange of information.

Joe,

Your just honest, blunt, and to the point. It's one of the things I like about you. And also one of the reasons I think others may feel differently. There are a lot of "politics" involved, that I don't think should happen, but they do, in every day life and on forums, that have sponsors...

You have a ton of acquired knowledge and information, that you share.

My read on you since I have not met you in person, is that you are a great guy, always willing to help, and not afraid to share your experiences. Both good and bad.

As for the sponsor/non-sponsor linking, it's tough I agree that the sponsors should be recommended, as they are contributing to the site's expenses, but also believe in an "open" forum discussion where anyone's experience(good or bad) with any vendor should be able to be shared. I imagine it's a delicate balance.

This forum, FTE, I personally feel does a better job than most at allowing ventures into that territory. But sometimes a vendor may get upset with that, and I just have to believe in the administrators and moderators to work it out.

If there is one thing that bothers me sometimes, it's the referral to the entire FTE users as minions or lemmings as not all of us share the same sheepish thoughts on recommendations and paths.

Personally I find myself laughing hysterically at your straight forward post's and if I didn't think people would get mad I would post right after ya commenting on your comments.

I also have seen you answer dozens upon dozens of questions. Just because you feel one way, and someone thinks differently there should be no harsh feelings. This is a discussion board where people discuss and give opinions. You can either listen to what someone has to say or not, its your choice.

I would definitely not ban you from this forum if it was my choice.

Personally I find your honesty refreshing Joe. You've done nothing help me, and I enjoy reading your posts because I know your not just taking a guess at the problem.
You know your beans and shoot from the hip.
How can anyone not admire that... I do! I hope you stick around.

I'm sure you know the reasons. Did you skip the communication classes in school? I don't have a problem with you but if you don't agree with someone you come across pretty rude.

No... I dont know the reasons.

Your saying posts I made 3 years ago showing a specific line of facts, has bearing on a post I make today?

A link to Isspro is an issue today for me, but others can link and its not an issue?

When I come across "rude" its only because I am right... well 96% of the time anyway...

Most learn this over time... Some do not.

Well Joe, you're pretty blunt and kinda' biased, but, you have a lot of great information that I really enjoy reading. Every time you get off on a tangent, esp. being critical of certain vendor...I hold my breath, thinking, damn! He's gonna' get the ax this time! If you could just keep your criticisms a little more subtle...but, somehow I think you're about as subtle as a Texas tornado...hope you're able to continue giving us info...
