I have a 99 f350 w/7.3. It acts like its running out of gas. Here is what I did so far fuel and air filter, fuel pump, camshaft sensor, back pressure sensor and tube, high oil pressure sensor, new fuel line from tank to pump and left my gas cap off to check vent. The modis codes that come up now are turbo boost pressure low and icp pressure above/below desired. Are these ghost codes and some thing more major wrong or should i be checking some thing with the turbo?
i have pulled the tank and the screen looks clean. I have also put a clamp on the last 3 or 4 inches because when I pulled the pick upout it dropped right off.
Can you describe the "cutting out" a little better? Is it like you are turning off the key? Is it actually dying? I would monitor IPR and ICP while it is acting up, as well as APP. It could be as simple as the TPS needing cleaned...Does it do this "cutting out" if you use cruise control?
Have you done the Under Valve Cover Harness modification...also known as the 50 cent mod? Have you washed your engine lately...maybe some water still in the elec connections? Just asking a few questions to get the basic stuff out of the way.

The last link in my signature will help. The Hutch mod may need to be done on your truck. Opinion alert! I think it should be done on all of these trucks because of their age and the flaw in the design of the fuel pickup line all the way to the pump. I have not heard of anybody the Hutch mod didn't help.
Have you done the Under Valve Cover Harness modification.

JT, have you looked under the valve covers to made sure that they are plugged in tight and have you done the 50cent mod, that was the question from '1fixitman'?
Can you tell me what a hutch mod is. I am not much of a mechanic.
Everything in my signature is a link... you'll find the info there.
I'm not a mechanic either. I grab whatever tools I can find and have at it until I've created a total disaster. Then... I spend two days complicating a simple task while trying to undisasterize my truck. My stuff is solid work when I'm done, I just suck at the process.
