Climate Control

Having quirky issues with my climate control unit.When I change the air flow control from defrost to dash ducts or floor it doesn't always work.When I start the truck after it has been set on dash ducts It will be set on defrost.After changing it might take several minutes to change over.Or not at all.I have checked all the vacuum hoses no leaks detected.I'm stumped any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Keep looking for a vac leak @ the flapper valves.

I had this problem as well, i had accidently pulled the line off the valve right over the Passenger valve cover.

I had the same problem stuck in defrost had to replace te vacuum pump its an easy job

Get your hands on a vacuum gauge and see
how much how much you have and how fast it
leaks down.

Poking around under the hood I found a vacuum hose off at the heater hose valve.Plugged it in and low and behold the compressor shuts off now and holds steady 30 hg.vacuum.Thanks to all who responded,as usual your expertese is awesome
