I am taking my truck in tomorrow for the same thing. It will be dead and then get back in the truck and it will work fine. I will post what they do to fix the problem. It must be a software problem??

It might be a vacuum problem. Check the vacuum lines under the dash that go through the passenger side firewall. It's the intermittent part that is a pain.

Have been having the same problems over this past year. Mine would quite for as little as a few minutes and /or as long as a hour or so. During each "blackout" I would try switching on/off each electrical item, various combinations looking for anything. Was fortunate enough to make it to the dealership during one of the many "blackouts". Service writer witnessed the problem, paged for tech to come up front to test the unit. Before tech could arrive, it started back working. Dealer did write up on service order, but until something is identified as "broke", dealer will not start "guess" replacing parts.
