Believe it or not.. Yes I'm going to show up! Already told the boss, and have my directions printed, just incase my piece of junk GPS "Fred" (F-ing Ridiculous Electronic Devise) can't pull it off...
Tony if you would like, I would Fed-Ex you some, But I don't think I would eat them by the time they got there. Also even if we don't eat any we will make sure they got some "Damn Lettuce" . The legend lives on. I hope you are well my friend and sorry you can't make it, You will be missed.
I guess it's a decent place, but really not what I think of when I want BBQ. I like it Smokey, covered in a good dry rub, and some sauce. Hope I didn't upset anybody.
Another fine dinner with friends marked down in the book. I think a good time was had by all in attendance.
I passed Bob on the way out there and tried to wave him behind me but he apparently likes to take the scenic route and took the bypass instead. No biggie though he wasn't too far behind and it gave the rest of us time to check out WP's new pimp ride while we waited.
Speaking of which, photos don't do that paint job justice. It must be seen in person. It goes deep. All kinds of stuff happening in that paint. Really nice work involved and you can tell by the results.
After WP finished signing autographs from the locals and shaking hands with all his admirers we could finally get down to some eating. As usual McCall's didn't disappoint. They even had oysters on the bar and the collards were delish.

See, Bob is from Missouri where BBQ is a verb. It's something you do and it usually involves beef. Dry rub? Sauce? Them's grillin' terms not BBQ terms around here. BBQ is a noun around here. It's chopped pork. And depending on where you're raised depends on what type of BBQ you prefer and will defend with your life if necessary. Eastern, Piedmont, Western are all styles of BBQ. They have they're own way of cooking it, chopping it, and flavoring it. What McCall's serves is eastern style BBQ. Finely chopped with no sauce added. You add your own hot pepper vinegar for taste.
I enjoyed the meal and the time spent with the good folks from the ford truck group. Look forward to the next one.
So, I have realized I have made a habit of disappearing haha. I spent pretty much the first 3 weeks of February out of town. Picked up a new job (read as "HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL") and was busy doing gigs and being broke lol. My ol' android was not a fan of this site either. However, I am now not so broke and have a fancy new iphone that likes the site just fine, so where's the next meal???
Matt, You going to be able to join us in March? We can head towards Pittsboro again if that helps get you motivated. Otherwise it might be a few months before we strike out to the piedmont.
The city tap sounds like a decent place. Not too pricey either.
