Correction, Any day between the 22nd and the 28th. I am heading over to Glendale Springs on the 29th. Close to the West Jefferson area. Will do Tony, you know we love us some BBQ.
Wilkesboro just off of 421 on 268. Take 286B exit. Go to traffic light (300 ft.) turn left onto 268. Turn left on Collegiate Dr. Sagebrush will be on your right. ETA? I'll PM my phone numbers. I'll leave about 1hr before your ETA.
I will give you a shout when I get off of I-40 onto 421N. Should put me about an hour out of North Wilkesboro. Hopefully an E.T.A. guessitmate would be around 1:30-2:00. I plan on rolling out from here around 10:00 in the morning and taking a relaxing drive to the mountains. I will be in the Cavalier cause I have to take the esentials for staying on the new river for a couple of days. I look forward to seeing you in a couple of days.
Tony I am getting a later start than planned. I am heading out in about 10 minutes. I will call the house number when I get off of I-40. See ya in a while my friend.

Ok...LOL......Good to see you Willie. We sure put a dent in the sweet tea and cheddar biscuits at Sagebrush...
Hope the rest of your weekend goes well.
Anyone been to either of these in Raleigh,
The Pit
Barbecue Lodge
The pit is similar to bib's in that it's more upscale and located downtown. Kind of like bbq for folks that think of bbq as a novelty and not a meal. The food is ok and it's pricey. In my opinion not on par with Bib's taste or quality but still costs the same.
The barbecue lodge has been around forever. I think they still do a decent lunch. The quality had slowly gone downhill. Last time I ate there it wasn't very good but it's been years since I've eaten there. I would consider it fast food bbq (like smithfields). It used to be a good place to get some decent food. The brunswick stew used to be pretty dang good. But last time I ate there the cue was greasy and the sides were bland. That's why I haven't been back. But they are still in business so maybe they got things worked out.
Of those two I'd pick the lodge.
But those two wouldn't even be on my radar for cue around here.
Clyde Coopers or Holden's would be top choices around here. But you'd have to get out of Raleigh to get real, decent cue. And coopers and holdens have wacky hours.
A lot of my friends like dickey's, Danny's and Ole Time. All three are decent and fairly priced.
I'd be fine trying out the lodge again. It's super close to your event place (if it's the same place as last year)
We don't have to eat bbq. Tons of good places to eat around north raleigh. We can head out there towards yall.
**All this is just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt.**
I'll be fine eating wherever and whatever yall want to eat.
