You could search in the Jeep forums too, the 2150 carb. is a very common upgrade for older Jeeps and since the installation requires an adjustment, they probably do that a lot more than Ford owners do.
Yeah, I did find this great PDF file from the tech side of a forum i used to visit for my ranger called The Ranger Station, it describes in good detail how to rebuild my 2150 and tune it afterwards. Pretty much i know what to do with the 2 mixture screws but not having a tach will be interesting. Though i think i will be able to tell when the idle speed is "optimum" for me. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech..._2150_carb.pdf
It's very descriptive and once this Carter is on i will definitely look at rebuilding my 2bbl, then maybe throw it on and rebuild the Carter. It seems cut and dry, just more work with little things instead of big things...
So i went to AZ that is a few miles away from my house and ordered the gaskets. They won't be here till next tuesday though, and i got some red RTV. The thing i didn't get was the bolts due to my step father saying i won't need them. Seeing as i didn't want to argue i said ok and didn't get them. When they break/fail then i can have him buy me some.
If i start spraying the bolts now with the Deep Creep sill that help remove them easily? Last time i used it was on my track bar on the axle side and it didn't help get the bolt off any easier. Though i can understand since it was around 200 ft lbs to tighten it.
Well all lights are now working. Replaced both harnesses for the front lights. Put in new fuse and boom the last thing which was the signals are now in working condition. Put on an antenna, the one on it was broken of course. Changed the plugs. Turned over one headlight. It was mounted upside down.
Next on the list is the drivers door handle. Hoping the springs just broken. The handle just kind of flaps around. Get rear window working better or replace the whole thing. I love having a dedicated parts vehicle.
I have a feeling the door hing pins on mine are going out as well, the driver door pops and bang when opened, and the passenger door hits the front fender a bit. I have to go jam something in there and try bending the metal a bit more.
