Plus, I really need somewhere to store random things like pens, my gun etc. so a console would be really nice... I've spilled one (okay probably like 10) too many teas though letting them sit on the bench seat.

Gruesome, didn't you put in a Saginaw pump too? Or am I confusing that with someone else? I've done quite a bit of work over the years to my Bronco now, but nothing super intense besides the exhaust. I really want to do more now, like get a cam, or Edelbrock intake or even better, Edelbrock heads.. but I don't know if I could handle any of that. I hear putting in a cam is probably the next best thing for horespower and next easiest, but I honestly have no clue what to do or where to start with that, or what one to get. I suppose I'll do more research and find what to do next. But until then I'll hopefully find some better seats!
Yessir i did a sag swap, my old furd pump was starting to whine pushing those 35s back and forth. I have done a lot of "major" work like a transmission and intake/carb but there is still a lot to be done.

Here is the sag

Okay so I do remember correctly. Yeah I put the Saginaw in my truck too.... but I don't know if I am just terrible at bleeding air out or just unlucky, because the pump seems louder than the one I had before. The first Saginaw pump I pulled from a yard, it seemed to have a small leak in it, so I bought a new one from the shop, and its pretty loud... turning is better though so I guess I'll live with that. Plus my exhaust now kinda masks the annoying whine so I'll settle with that for now.

I'm going to go check some yards today after work though so wish me luck on finding seats!

Interesting, bleeding mine was quick and simple and the only whining/grinding i heard was when the engine was at low RPM and i had my foot in the brake while turning. other than that it hasn't improved the turning much it just got rid of the whine i had.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's 25 before it lets you do that so you're almost there!

Didn't have much luck today at the slavage yards... finding a Bronco is so hard.. then the matching interior color is much harder.. I did get one thing for my moms explorer and something for my brothers Isuzu, but not everything I was looking for! I went to 4 different yards today and only got two things!! Oh well I'll just keep looking on Craigslist for stuff. I really want those new seats.. but don't want to pay a fortune for them on Ebay. Oh I did manage to catch a "cold" (something like it, its not too cold out so who knows) so now I can't get to sleep with this fever.... We'll see, maybe someone will be parting a bronco on Craigslist tomorrow!

That blows man. Yeah Broncos are few and far between especially for me, the 78-9 ones are rare. I normally strip parts from the F-series pickups around the same years since they have similar parts. Finding seatbelts for a bronco that is the matching color is really not going to be fun. I haven't been to the JY in a while though so they bay have gotten something in that i can use. The last 79 they had, had a 460 with a T-18 4spd. It was in great shape too but they weren't parting it out, they were rebuilding the top end of the motor and selling it on their car lot... Kinda made me sad.

I will be getting rid of the front seats in my Bronk soon. I just need to get the factory ones I am replacing them with recovered. The seats can be seen in my thread. They are nice with no problems. It's just that my busted up old *** needs a little more padding.

Yeah, I looked at a lot of F-series trucks too and they didn't have seats I wanted either... none of the were beige or have the center console thing I wanted... I may try some more yards today since I am miraculously feeling better from last night, not totally better but pretty good now.

I just had a shop cut and weld my pipe higher so it hangs only like 2 inches from the chassis now and they welded in a new bung after the cat so I'll be moving that too! I'll post some pictures later today when I get to cool off a bit. Hopefully my engine light goes off now. I had three codes PO135 come up twice and PO500. We'll see how that goes. I bought a new VSS for PO500 since it was cheap and I had that code come up last week.

Artic, what thread are the seats in? And is there a center console too? I don't know if I would buy seats online though since shipping will probably cost as much as the seats, but it's worth a look. Like I said before.. I'm kinda OCD so I would like the seats to match the look of 92-96 broncos though.

Here's a link to my thread Bubba. Pic's should be on first page. Seats are on the Ford Bronco Bucket tracks so they easily go forward and tip up for easy access to the rear. I can get more pic's if ya want but not today as it is a very stormy day here.

Those seats are pretty nice, but since I have a beige interior I don't think I would like the way they look in my truck. I really like the look of the stock leather seats too.. I wish I could get a hold of those but I suppose I'll keep scrounging salvage yards for them.

Here's a question too for anyone. Has anyone had any luck painting interior paneling pieces to match their color? I was in the process of pulling rear side paneling from a 92 bronco that had a blue interior. The panels were fully intact with the cup holders and everything, but they were blue.. not beige. I was going to get them anyways but the yard was closing so I ran out of time!! Does anyone know if I spray painted them beige/tan if that would hold up and if I could find a good matching paint? I really want those panelings but I need to paint them...

Also, do you think its possible for me to paint the roof-liner too? The bronco had a roof-liner with a rear cargo light!! But again, it was blueish. I don't know if that would do well being painted but I really want that light.

I'll probably go to that yard tomorrow morning and get those pieces unless someone here doesn't think I'll have any luck with the paint.

Alright thanks I'll try that out. I hope painting the blue panels beige won't be too much trouble. It looks like the dupli-color vinyl and fabric paint would be the best bet to use. I'm going to try it on the headliner also and maybe get some tacks or adhesive paint since the headliner there was starting to sag a little.

I have to fix my glove compartment hinges too... one broke off when my brother borrowed my truck. It was already kinda messed up but it finally broke so now I have to fix that. Hopefully hot glue will work well to hold that up sine its just a little pencil sized hinge. I found a locking glove box at the yard too I think I'm going to take. It was also blue however.. but that's okay I'll paint that too. My rear window key worked to lock and unlock it so that's pretty cool. Now no one come look for my bronco and use your window key to get into my glove-box!

One thing to try is to get a piece of old plastic and try a test spray to see how it reacts before you go for the final spray. That way you don't get any surprises.

As for the hinge i wouldn't expect hot glue to last long, i would look for something like Gorilla glue or an adhesive people use in their hobbies. If it is sunny out and that hot glue melts it will be a nice mess for you

Some quick research and people say Gorilla glue works well or Locktite gel glue. They also say JB weld works but has a silver color that might show through, just some ideas for the old noggin

Well i know it is a little bit of grave digging to get here but i found it

I figured i would revive the general talk thread so we don't have to make a new one.

Anywho, so how was everyones thanksgiving? Do anything fun? I finally met my niece in-law, she is 16 and i'm 20... It's so weird. and my sister is an aunt in-law at the age of 13 haha. It was fun though, we enjoyed some food and pie and i get to work tonight to help out around the gas station for black friday. The walmart down the street starts at 8pm instead of on friday so we expect a lot of people in for coffee.
