Wonder when the enviroweenies will get the word that the lion population might just be getting a bit large.
Probably not till there favorite dog gets munched.
Until she passed, my mother-in-law lived in Leisure World, Laguna Woods.
There were rabbit "pellets" everywhere for a long time. When I'd take my avatar with me down there, he'd go NUTS with all the scents!
Yes, there were rabbits EVERYWHERE! The management company wanted to get rid of them, but the old folks couldn't stand the thought of killing those "cute little bunnies".
Since the food supply was plentiful, the coyote population exploded as a result.
Then, it seems that Mr. Coyote couldn't distinguish between a bunny and Fluffy The Toy Poodle. Even while on a short leash, Fluffys were being eaten in front of their owners! The coyote population got pretty bold down there, and there were "incidents" where humans were injured.
Eventually, I believe there were lessons learned, but things had to get ugly for it to happen.
I've never played hockey. Don't watch it on TV. But I've been to a couple of games when I got free tickets, and I have to say it is an extremely exciting sport to watch live. Loses a lot on TV.
It is funny, I have played Hockey and it is really fun to play.... But watching it, is like Ice....I like Ice in my Iced tea, but I have no want what so ever, to sit and watch it freeze... It is much better to see a Hockey game in Person, but it is very frustrating as there is so damned little scoring....
Jet you need to watch a match in the good ole Mid-West - the college version. The crowd was much more exciting than the game and the crowd literally lived for fights on the ice (reading between the lines here, very cute girls, way too much beer and what the heck else ya gonna do on a Friday night in Iowa in January). After the game we'd go out on the ice for a free skate and I was always impressed at the depth of the ice gouges after a game. Agree, I went to see the Blues live and it's wasn't as exciting - missing something... the cute girls ?
