Nevada April BS Thread
Well my time at home was short lived...I'll be getting on a plane headed to SoCal later this afternoon...
Good news is I did get a LOT done the 3 nights I was home...the outside is really starting to shape up and I'll be able to do mulch in a couple of weeks...dang early spring really filled the flower beds up fast...now I have to mulch around all the fresh growth...LOL
Have a great day everyone...talk to you soon.
Joe.

I just cleaned off a ton of melted wax off of our glass table top from a little coffee table we have outside. We didn't think about it and we still had a half burnt candle in a candle holder outside on top of it and since it hit high temps yesterday, it melted the candle and it leaked out of the candle holder and all over half of the glass top. LOL Whooopsie!

I never even thought about it and neither did my wife until we saw it all melted. Luckily none of it got on the wicker frame nor the patio.
So, I just took a heat gun, melted the rest off while using a putty knife to carefully scrap it off and then used lighter fluid to clean up the residue.
I guess that's one way to clean a glass tabletop!I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday! I'm about to go out on a group motorcycle ride up to Mount Charleston. Should be fun.
She is a little lady, toy fox terrier and papillion mix. Tan in color and very well trained. She comes from a good home, her former owner is a dog trainer so she is very well behaved, if a little timid. She is only sixteen pounds. Turning out to be a good companion for Romeo.
Michelle, did you meet Romeo when you stopped by?

Well it"s a hot one today! Time for shades & sunscreen!

For those of you in or near Fallon...please be careful due to that severe thunder & high wind storm in your area until 6pm tonight! The Emergency Broadcast System makes it out to be a pretty dangerous storm. Let us know your safe & how it went tomorrow after the storm blows through.
We had a small brush fire up the road from us yesterday evening. Not sure how it started, lightning maybe? I think by the time the F.D. actually made it to the fire, it had almost burned itself out. It went from about 1 mile long (straight line up the hillside) to about 1/4 long by the time they got there! But ofcourse, the wind decided to pick up just enough to take it up & over the hill, so I don't know how much actually was burned. It sure was pretty to look at & made me jealous that I couldn't be there to help put it out. Oh well, that's what I get for retiring...DAMN IT!

Ok, time to get dinner going. Have a blessed Sunday (what's left of it)

My right foot is wrecked. I don't know what's wrong, no incident. If it's not better by morning I'm going to the VA urgent care.
Marlie survived the big visiting dogs just fine. Brave little girl!
Thunder and lightning and slushy hail!! Came down pretty good for awhile, my sliding doors were open so the carpets got a little wet...looks to be heading over towards the lake. Huge gust of very warm wind blowing by right now. Didn't get to the lake today after all, planted some flowers and redid my drip system. The Mr shot the irrigation well and voila! more water pressure to the sprinklers that we've had in years. Wish he would have thought of that sooner.
Yes Bruce, I did meet Romeo, glad he has a friend! Hope you don't have to go to the emergency.
Sorry to hear about your foot... have you ever had "gout" before ??? It just comes on without much warning. It reeeeeealy hurts too ...it turns me from a big mean pit bull to a wimpering puppy over night. I really hope it's better soon. Good Luck Dave
