Bruce, where do you live? Alaska? LOL I would figure that by now it wouldn't be snowing and such. You guys have gotten more snow up there than my friends in Michigan did all year this past winter. I'm just surprised.
Our winter this year was pretty dry, but as spring rolled around it started snowing several times a week up here at Lake Tahoe. Maybe when it's all said and done we might end up with a normal water table.
Last year we had crazy snow and it too lingered on well into spring. I thought it would never stop.
Good morning everyone. Sorry I have been absent, my internet was down for about three weeks. My house purchase and the build plan both seam to be DOA Oh well, things will happen when and if they are meant to.
Nice fish Joe. Looks like ya had fun.
Bruce, I tried to get a few G2G's going but I was only able to get a couple mini G2G's. Basically those that want to G2G, agree on a time, location, and events then show up. The two biggest problems I had was economy (seems it might be bouncing back) and location. Of course, I am not that good at getting people together either
Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday and hopefully they are WRONG about the wicked weather they are predicting today for the central part of the US!!!...stay safe everyone and let's keep those folks in our prayers today!
I hope everyone is having an exciting weekend so far.
Thursday I received a call from Top Gun Raceway telling me that I was refered for an EMT position at the track. I had a phone interview Friday & it looks like my first event will be May 5th & 6th, and again on the 19th & 20th. I'm so excited! I can go out this weekend & do the orientation thing, but after talking with the Ambulance Coordinator about my prior work experience at Thunderbowl Speedway, she said it was basically the same thing & if I wanted to come out on Sunday I could, otherwise she'd just see me on May 5th.
Have fun & be safe this weekend! TTFN...
Jeff, I know making GTG's work is not easy. Either that or I am just not good at it. Sorry your house deal didn't go. Short sales and repos are very unpredictable. Owner carry deals are easier and quicker. Just ask Donna.
Donna, congratulations on your racetrack gig. That should be fun and you get to see a lot of racing too.
Having a gray day on the mountain but at least it's not snowing on us.

I have been trying to have G2G's in my chapter but there's always one reason or another that we end up with like 3 people that can make any given weekend...I gave up trying to organize them...and I've organized a few gatherings in my time...for whatever reason...the group just couldn't make it a priority...and that's cool...no reason to get frustrated...so I just stopped asking...
I know the feeling. Took us several months to finally get a gtg going, and then only 2 peeps showed up from the Nor cal chapter. Luckily we invited the So Cal folks too, or it wold have been a total bust. Still, only 4 peeps from So Cal joined.
Hi everyone,
I'd like to see who all is interested in doing a GTG in mid-May?
I know it's short notice, but I'm waiting for date confirmation from Mat on his Virginia City ghost investigation. As soon as I know a date for sure, I can set a definate date/time on the GTG. As of right now, the GTG would be in Virginia City, NV.! Bruce is going to check on prices w/ a friend of his that owns a resturuant up there. I don't know about other hotels as of yet, I do know that the Silverland Inn & Suites has king/dbl queen rooms for $89 during the week, $99 on Fri/Sat, & $149 Holiday/Events. With it being short notice, I'd like to keep it as simple/cheap as possible & probably just do a lunch or dinner thing. What do you think?
If your interested, add your name to the list...
