79 400 build up

I started this project this past October. It has been slow and steady due to financial limits(minimum wadge). I figured I'd post some pictures up if any one wanted to check it out.

Here are the details....
Bored .040 over, 9.3 hyper pistons, Hastings rings, ACL bearings, Elgin oil pump and hardened push-rods, MSD pro billet distributor, Moroso blue max wires, Weiand action plus, quick fuel's 650 annular, Scorpion roller rockers, SS valves, ARP bolts throughout, comp's extreme energy 256, double roller timing set, chrome Motorsport valve covers, and a fresh coat of dark ford blue paint.

Expect a new wave of pics here shortly of reassembly., should have it whipped into shape here in the next two weeks or so.

Lookin good! Let the questions begin:

Those some flat cam lobes? Is your dizzy a standalone or do you have a brain box with it? Are those 9.3 pistons from TMI/is your whole kit from TMI?

Looking forward to your fire up video

Every thing but the ignition and induction is from TMI. Cam is flat tappet, module is in distributor.

Just got finished installing valves/springs/retainers! Clean parts are great!

More pictures

Installed cam, crank, piston and rod assemblies, as well as assembled heads and valve train, timing chain....

Waiting on the new bolt kit. Previous one had too many problems/ incorrect sizes.

I can only imagine the whole thing turning 4,000 rpm's.

How much hp and torque do you expect to get from this set up? It is very close to the build up I plan.

I've been having trouble with my stainless steel Gardner-Westcott Company bolt kit from Tim. Two of the smaller four intake bolts were two inches two long, and the valve cover bolts bottomed out before holding the stamped steel covers, I reckon they were designed for aluminum covers.

Anyway, Tim has agreed for me to send this kit back. What has been yall's experience with an effective kit for the 400? What reliable brands are out there? I know I can trust ARP, but I don't want to spend that much unless I have too.
All help appreciated.

It's just nuts and bolts. This was my first engine build. I'm only 17, but with the wealth of information out there, almost anyone can tackle these sort of projects.
