I do follow the race stuff. Really enjoyed the race in MI with the way the tires worked out and the boy finally driving to a win. I like the guy, but he's too nice to race for a win, only gonna happen like it did, just plain faster and no cautions at the end.
I usually go to Charlotte in the fall, Bristol every couple years. Camping at Charlotte is $100 for the whole week and you can buy tickets on the sidewalk from random people during the national anthem. I got 4 seats exit turn 4, about 30 rows up for $25ea last year.
I also camp at road Atlanta for the petit le mans every year. Price is higher but amazing stuff just 80 miles from the house. Just booked the site last week. We camp on the long strait, about 1/4 mile from the bridge. Come down, it's a blast. Google it, check it out.
Thats sounds great, if I lived closer I would go to more, I usually go to MIS or NHIS, I have have flown out to Sonoma too, Atlanta, Daytona of course.....Myrtle beach....I would like to go to Bristol
Bristol tickets are usually passed around here later in the summer, I usually get free ones from "a friend of my cousins girlfriend" kind of thing.
If you're serious, fly to ATL, I will pick you up, I will have room in my camper for ya, campsites there are like $400 if I remember right. I will find you a ticket.
I grew up in Chicago, when I was a kid my dad took me to Milwaukee mile, MIS, Atlanta, Charlotte, dega. This was in mid '70s. Used to go to dirt track in Waukegan, WI every weekend.
If you want, fly to ATL for the le mans. Nothing like the prototypes and ferraris tearing it up. I've got room, we get three campsites, two campers, can sleep about 14 if we had to!
Yes I did ask for that one Savage....kick a guy when he is down and Roy will come along and throw the salt in the wound.
With friends like that who needs enemies
Actually it was very innocent, as Darren uses the laughing toothless guy, and I thought of him when I added them to the last line of the post so I added the BTW where is Darren bit not thinking it through properly
