Nice time Darren! I too would think that in manual you could do better, keeping the rpms below 3000 but I don't know how your tuned motor feels. In stock form we lose a lot of accel above 3000.

Also, I would bet that the manual shift system may not react fast enough to slam through the gears quick enough. It's not a race type paddle with quickness in mind. It's hard for me to go through the gears and keep the rpms right at 2300 or so, gotta be real tough with yours.

My personal best is still 8.2 but I'm gonna go out and try for real.

Thanks!

The tuned motor doesn't seem to drop off above 3,000 and it is reflected in the chart below. HP is pretty flat from 3000 right to 3300. Stock looks like it starts to dive at 2,700 and by what you are saying you can feel it. I can't remember stock LOL.

I have not messed with manual much at all and not on a WFO run but I will give it a try!

HAVE FUN and have a great weekend all!

Good afternoon my trucking Friends..........
1st....... John, Darren would blowup the damn thing in manual

2nd..... I am on I-15 south of Idaho Falls, ID riding in our company van. My Razr Maxx is docked in a Motorola LapDock. This is a 15+ inch screen, looks just like a Laptop, full keyboard, it's own battery supply. The "Computer" and Internet connection is the Android Phone.
Love It

Now THAT sounds like a sweet set-up, can you fit the lapdock in your truck? If so I think it would qualify as a mod!

Afternoon John....... I was wondering .... Did your truck recover from that over loaded Tow ??

I did MOD the truck this last week !! I'll have to take pictures, I installed a Recon Light Bar across the Top of the tailgate. It was designed to go just under the tailgate. Couldn't put it there, the brace structure for the built-in tailgate step was in the way. I put it just under the tailgate cap. Looks good there.....different. (yes, like me ) The Light Bar has: Red leds for running lights. Bright red Leds for brakes. Sequential Yellow Leds for the turn signals. and Bright White Leds fro Backup.

Yep........ I Have a MOD

You're screwed now Roy, once you start you can't stop. Trust me on that one. My plan when I bought this truck was to leave it 100% stock.......

That tow nearly put us both down....

The truck has recovered but I haven't quite yet and am in need of a cocktail...wait a minute it's 5 o'clock somewhere

I think you got the wrong end of the stick on the mod statement...what I meant was that the lapdock sounds cool and would count as a mod (don't tell Pits but it would be a legal mod...unlike his illegal Mod of supposedly 18 year old Hooters Dozen that he totes around in the back of his truck ) in my book...but now that you mentioned Mods I don't see a lot in your signature....
