The wife and I had to make a trip to Ohio for one of her classes and I'm just going to kick back and chill.
Anyhow, I reset the trip data on the Trip A screen when I fueled up before we left town today. The first pic is when we hit the lot at the motel tonight. The second pic is the Average MPG that goes back three tanks of fuel which includes driving on interstate and in town multiple times. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
On the top pic and for this trip, the speed averaged around 67 MPH. I'm thinking between 65 and 70 is going to be the sweetspot. If I start staying around 75, I start seeing a drop off in MPGs. I'll do the hand-calculation when we fuel up before we head back.
Whew, 4 days, 2150 miles, and I worked for 5 hours. I drove from home to Horton, KS and back. With my little 16' enclosed cargo trailer that maybe weighs 8K loaded I pretty much stayed between 65-70mph. It was windy and rainy out there but I averaged over 12 mpg for the trip.
I had a tailwind for my trip out west from home and cruised at 65mph for the whole time. I averaged 14.5! With good conditions I am very happy about that. I was really surprised. Headwinds and rain dropped me to 12 on the way east. I drove home from st. Louis yesterday, 750 miles in one day. I love the truck. Was a enjoyable spring day for sure.
Truck now has 94,002 miles on her. Bout time for some TLC.

Wow Ruschej, I'm kind of jealous and feel sorry for you at the same time! Life on the road!
Wow, you'll be at 100K in no time! Whatcha gonna do then? Anything?
Well, if I take this forum too seriously, I will have a tow service on speed dial when my HPFP grenades, then I drop a valve, and lose an injector tip, followed by a glow plug dropping in the cylinder the moment I reach 104,000 miles.
In all seriousness I will become concerned. It's unfortunate but I suppose it's a reality. Nemotorcars came and went, never really said much about his engine failure and I think he was the only one that ran his truck similar to the way I do though much more. I'm really not that unusual, just a little more miles than the average on this forum.
We shall see. I would like to get at least 200K before looking at a new one.
Took the truck to Christiansburg and Blacksburg today and had a blast.
Oh and if anyone is heading toward Bristol or anywhere near here, the Love's Truck Stop on I-81 @ Exit 84 in Wythe County VA has 45 cetane diesel and they're running around 3.91 / gal. now.
Keep this thread going. Nothing is off-topic as far as I'm concerned as long as it has to do with enjoying the truck, the drive, and the time alone or with the family
Blacksburg used to be home ...... 1968 - 1971 Student at VA Tech. No Ford pickup then. Austin Healy 100-6
Love the Truck, the F-350 is a real truck! It just don't get any better than this
There's always one last major snowfall before it's all over. I won a few bets today thanks to the weather.
I rolled past 10,000km on my truck this evening and was able to test out the ABS feature since apparently the City of Edmonton also decided today was a great day to start putting up some road blocks for construction, which promptly got snowstormed over along with a whole string of streetlights also out lol. Probably the same crew who decided to send out the Elgin Eagle street cleaners in the morning only to bring out the International 7700 sanding trucks a few hours later.

That's funny cuz its true
But you are getting ahead of yourself, it's only March, we could have 2 more months of sanding trucks and street cleaners on the road the same day.
10,000 kM, really, you mean for the year right? Or did you just buy that thing to look perdy?? Man!! I feel bad for not driving mine enough, you should feel downright terrible
