I have a scanguage II and am currently monitoring ECT, EOT, FMP, and VLT while driving. I was just wondering what other people monitor constantly while driving and why?
Edit
I know this will bring up a lot of "personal situations" but I wanted to hear all thoughts on the subject.
i have an edge insight but i do: ect, tranny temp, batt volts, boost, load%, mphC, IPWms, and when i mash the petal i get more: app%, and a few otehrs i cant think of atm.. Just woke up a little bit ago.
i assume you mean what we monitor with the scanguage 2 or in general as far as any type of aftermarket gauge? cause the cab of my truck looks like a cockpit, i need a gauge to watch the gauges, or a co-pilot to watch the gauges while i drive.
Just daily driving? Not a thing, my CTS is normally not in my truck.
If I know I'm going on a 50-100 mile drive I'll bring it along and use that to check up on things, but I figure if the truck dies suddenly then having the whole smash of gauges wouldn't help me with anything other than knowing exactly why I'm stranded, gonna need a tow truck either way. Not like I can do an SCT fitting or swap a FICM with my imaginary spare on the side of the road. I'll put it in sometimes for specific things (checking the FICM when it's cold, checking the ect/eot split if I'm driving a certain highway that works for that) or randomly I'll check the truck out in general, but if everything looks good then out it comes for awhile. Just drive to enjoy sometimes instead of thinking the truck is a pretty-princess that needs my head up it's skirt 24-7.
Towing, then ECT/EOT, TFT, EGT (soon, haven't installed yet). Gotta be smart when pulling.
