It makes absolutely no sense to upgrade the heads, exhaust, and intake and leave the factory cam in place.
depends on how you acquired the headers and intake not everyone is independently wealthy enough to buy things as needed some trade swap and get things given to them be careful to judge others a wide man makes no judgements period!
Mods are pro comp gt40 heads, 1.7 roller rockers with longer pushrods to center on valve stems
Have you done a compression and leakdown test? From what I have read the valve seats in those Procomp heads leave a lot to be desired in terms of sealing with the valves, and the longer pushrods you used may be compounding the issue, a leakdown test will tell you if the valves are sealing or not and then you just have to figure out if you need to fix one or both of those things.
whats it gonna take if i wanted to tow 20k with a f350 and a 351w auto e4od
This is something you should start your own thread about. This is quite a topic, that can vary from getting a stroker kit, to just towing in low range.
Huge *****. All of the above noted mods or more. More gear in the axle. The best brake upgrade money can buy. A great big liability policy and a last will and testament.
If Miller is still around... Curious how the procomp heads are holding up...

I tow 20k with my 87 F250... but it's a manual 460 truck. It has stock brakes though. There aren't many upgrades available, so trailer brakes are very important.
If your truck has 350 gears, you're going to need an upgrade.
You're going to need to read this whole topic, there are a lot of ideas and tons of info that has everything to do with what you're asking. Lots of power upgrades for your truck.
imnot trying to break any land speed records, i just need to tow 70 miles 2 times a year that much, and im over estimating the weight a bit to be safer. i probably end up putting my idi diesel in it and a t18. its ot 410s and i wouldnt tow over 55mph anyhow

A 4-speed IDI with 4.10s would be absolutely hopeless trying to tow 20K.
