Just need to add a basket to the enduro! I'm hoping my trucks not down for more than a weekend when I swap in the new 351 in the coming weeks/month. All I have for alternative transit is a pedal bike, 100cc dirtbike, or snowmobile.
It's always a good idea to re torque after a heat cycle, but not necessary with a "material" gasket. It's 6 in one, half doz in the other...you could break it down and do a re torque just to find out nothing moved, or you might find that some were off torque spec. If you never tried, chances are you'd never know there was a difference...if you try, there's still a chance there is no difference......
Motor is running with short pipes on headers. Truck has no tach but when you get rpms up around 2500 that's a guess. Feels like fouled plug, exhaust cackles a little like when you let off. I haven't done timing bump yet and o2 isn't hooked up. Could the 02 cause this
Check firing order again.
Make sure plug wires are separated correctly. I've had a few plug wires cross arc even when new.
Gotta check timing. I only run 10*. My truck doesn't like more. It tends to have preignition.
O2 shouldn't do much, but should do something once warm.
Exhaust helps you to hear the noises.
Keep an ear on it all. Mess with it some and let us know how you make out.
Pcv valve not strong enough. It's basically a vacuum leak.
A heavier weighted pcv will take more vacuum to open. Not sure if a 460 pcv is different or not.
It's sucking air around oil fill which fits tight no pvc in that cover
Pcv is in passenger side, but it's sucking vapors from pass side, but pulling vapors from valley and through right side valve cover breather.
How do you know it's sucking air from around it?
My truck has a hose fitting to go from filler tube out to the air box. It's designed to pull air (metered if it's maf) and suck fresh air into engine and pull vapors out the pass side pcv...
I'm not completely understanding what you mean.
Unhook pcv and block it off. If it stops sucking air, leave it unhooked. Add breathers.
If you unhook pcv and it's still sucking air in, then you may have a bad intake gasket and it's sucking air into a cylinder from inside the intake valley. You may be able to check the plugs and see oil residue on a plug sometimes.
