Good morning boys and girls. Per Miss Pamela's instructions, the bird is in the kitchen sink defrosting.

Ohboyohboyohboy.

Make sure you aren't shaving any gears. There's a place in Springfield that rebuilds axles. I got a set of spider gears from them for a Suburban I was working on. I can't remember the name of the place though. Might want to do a set of bearings while you have it apart.

I got my truck cut apart and welded back together today. I came in for some lunch, then I'll go back out and get the mud work done. The ole' girl is coming along!

Nice bed skins wonder, where you got them and I wonder where I got them? Thanks Ches, we sure do move alot of parts around.

What is the deal on the Nova set the hook at your asking price, fingers x'ed for ya.

News flash, Penny is almost back safe in Mo (she just landed in Atl) and I am on my way to PA (BRRRRR....) mid next week. So outa 81 degrees to a 45 high/32 low area, I hate flying doors open in the cold.

Everyone have a great holiday tomorrow, I'm still stuck in Florida.

I got the mud work done and some spray paint thrown on there. I have a bad body line, but it's good enough for now. I also pulled the bottom of the driver's fender out so it's straight. That's the worst of it. Now I just have to do some slick sand (super high build primer) and block the heck out of it.

No word on the Nova yet. I got a trade offer for a pretty nice '67 Fairlane with a 289 and a four speed. I just really need the money. Anyone want to buy a Fairlane?

Well here is my plan for sat Nov. 26, from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla. and watch the "Mars Science Laboratory/Curiosity rover" launch on a Atlas V rocket vehicle.

First launch opportunity is at 10:02 to 11:45 a.m. EST. from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Space Launch Complex 41.

Sounds like a cool thing to see a rocket with 860,000 lbs of thrust at liftoff take some stuff that will eventually go to mars.....

That does sound pretty cool, Rich.

Frankly, we do not have a lot planned this weekend. We'll be up all night tonight cooking a medium sized bird very, very slowly....

Rich, I think that trumps my quarter panel. That is definitely a once in a lifetime deal. Have "a blast" with that!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Don't know exactly what tomorrow holds for me, I'm on call. The clan is supposed to be headed this way tonight. So either I'm going to entertain the kids or work. Hoping for the former and not the later...or at least not until after 1500-ish.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that much power in one spot. I can only imagine what it sounds like. Enjoy the weather down there in FL. I think I saw 29F for a low here in Nevada on Saturday morning.

A couple of years ago my father deep fried a 15-16 pound bird. I want to say it took 15-20 minutes...but I don't remember how long it "boiled in oil". I will say this, I thought it would taste very greasy (like KFC). Boy was I wrong, very juicy and tasty bird. All I can say is we wisely cooked it outside on the driveway. Watching that oil boil up when the bird went it...crazy stuff.

I've enjoyed a boiled in oil bird before...but wifey insists on the traditional oven cooked meal...kind of. She's a firm believer in low temp cooking over night...we get up every two hours to baste it...and she hasn't failed us yet.

Wives are funny that way...but then there's a reason I have a very round "personality".

Yea that much thrust is amazing, and I think that is not including the solid rocket boosters. I have had "rocket 101", since I have went to the KSC the other day.

Yea "they" cook great, and we eat great to show our appreciation. That's why we are round so to speak.

Rich it sounds like you and Penny had a much needed brake before you disapear again. Alan that ol' truck is coming along nicely.
We did get everything made that we're taking on our trip to see my family tomorrow. Never got to pop the hood to do the water pump on my 01, so I'm stuck in that 08 Escape for the next couple of day's. That thing is NOT comfy, my truck is comfy, it fits an older guy's.... Uh.... backside better than the park bench that is in that Escape.
We'll be out of the house before 9am, headed to the KC area, come back friday afternoon sometime. Then we will start our Christmas display that night. I'm still not finished, but it's ok. I'll see if I can get a short video posted on here.
Y'all have a safe and Happy ThanksGiving!
Unk Bob
