When the computer went in the 'Vette, I checked for a short for days. It turns out my computer was just old, ...and it went bad. In your case, if it's as "rusty" as you say it is, I'd check for good grounds, shorted crank sensor, etc. At the very least, I'd put a separate ground from the chassis of the computer, (the metal box the circuit board is in) to a truck chassis ground. It sure won't hurt to do that and may just siphon off excess voltage milling about. (I'm not kidding)

I would also put a couple grounds from the engine to the body and from the body to the frame. Ground EVERYTHING.

I still think lime green truck bed coating will be cool and I don't have to do a lot of body work!

MOST of the rust is the rear wheelwells, some surface rust in some other spots. Just well bumped everywhere else. IF I remember right, the only thing NOT bent or bumped is the passenger door. Paint is all faded & has 'freckles' where the primer under it is showing through. Didn't buy it for looks anyway, bought it because I wanted a truck so I could haul stuff when I wanted to. The roof is straight I think. Put another tailgate on because the other one was rusted out on the bottom.

Good Morning Everybody!

Ches, as far as lime green bedliner over the outside of the truck goes, ...

Pat, I'd still put a few extra engine grounds on. They get cut and forgotten about over the years and the factory put them there for a reason. It sure couldn't hurt.

RC, me too. I have got to get something rolling on this truck today while we still have a decent day to do it.

I'm gonna pour a cup of coffee and come up with a plan of attack.

Morning folks, Penny made it here and we relaxed last night So now getting around and going to hit the beach, so she can sea shell hunt.

I walk along, carry the flip flops and put all the shells in my pockets. BTW its 75 and on its way to 80.

I think we are going to tour the Kennedy Space center this afternoon? And I believe we can get within 100 feet of the space shuttle, it getting decomissioned in the old upright launch storage bldg?

Howdy, howdy boys and girls. It's Saturday night.

Not too much going on here, I did work a couple of short shifts at the pizza place this weekend.

Gotta find me more to do....
