Where ya hanging these days, Rob? Are you back in So Cal?
Back in Socal once a month for CG, spending the rest of my time in Central Fl, eventually to make it back to Fl's left coast. Always been fond of the Tampa, St. Pete area. Currently hunting for work that pays well enough to accumulate some more shop equipment of my own. (Couple pet projects in the works - you guys will be the first to know if they work out. One involves prototyping some equipment for making beer, one for offroad parts, etc etc... waiting to see if they have any hope of being as profitable as they are amusing though... )
Another good show to catch (the wife's idea... and she only gave me one dirty look for being... appropriately impressed...) was the grown up version of Circ Du Soleil... Zumanity.
In all fairness... a gentlemen is morally obligated to show a certain amount of appreciation for an attractive woman (gymnist), without much (anything?) in the way of a costume, 50 ft in the air on a silk rope... with the athletic ability, dexterity and attention span to operate 4 or 5 hula hoops at the same time...
...never mind the sheer athletic ability displayed by the rest of the cast and throughout the rest of the show, which was more tasteful than I might have given it credit (or hoped) for when my wife suggested it in the first place.
It was her idea... after all...
Edit: In retrospect... it's not really possible to describe something like that... without it sounding more incriminating than you thought you could politely manage when you started the post. Steve should feel free to edit... should I have divulged more than was appropriate for a family friendly forum.
Hi guys!
I missed you this morning! I hope your having a great Friday.
Rob - sounds like you had fun at the show. Sounds like something I'd want to see - yes, the gymnast especially! I envy a limber woman.
I just got a bit of good news...my Dr is still blowing me off & not calling in my prescription, so I called my pharmacy & they comped me 5 Synthroid pills to get me through until he calls. I'm hoping that it will help me to get over this creeping crud quicker. Maybe if my thyroid is working properly, than it will help my body to fight off sickness!
go by Bass Pro Shop frankly...and that's probably what I'll do.
That Bass Pro was really good when they opened it 'cause they figured lots of international peeps would show up. They've since learned thats international peeps don't buy rifles and they closed the high end gun room which was my favorite part of the joint. Nowadays its just like the one in Rancho Cuc, (understocked).
BTW
Speaking of awesome rifles. I took the new Weatherby out today. What a beautiful piece of art. Unbelievably accurate.
On the edge of my seat near Den Haag this evening watching the World Team Cup of PINGPONG on tv. First time I've seen slow motion replays in this sport and intense comentary (alas in Dutch). Talk about putting english on a ball... (reminds me of my golf swing).
Finally couldn't take it anymore & went to urgent care. to make a long story short, after a few small tests they gave me a heavy duty shot of antibiotics & a script for another heavy duty antibiotic pills, then sent me to the hospital for chest xrays & bloodwork.
She thought that I possibly had the start of phnemonia (which came out negative), but for sure have bronchitis! My TSH for my thyroid is elevated (I knew it), and something about my white cells are low. She's also worried about my lymphnoid being so swollen & painful and hopes that my prescriptions will take care of it otherwise I'll have to get a mammogram. I have to follow up with my doctor next week. BTW - my Dr. finally called in my thryoid prescription friday afternoon after being out of it for a week. GRR!!! Took him long enough!
After getting home, I took my 1st dose of the antibiotic pill & like 5 minutes later, up it came! Maybe I shouldv'e eaten first like it recommended. Damn it!
