There should be no penalty for doling out cookies to the deserving.

There was actually no penalty for getting or giving cookies.
However, as some had acquired more, of those purely theoretical cookies, than the elders of the tribe, the elders decided to take the scale away.

Here's your reputation points:

In your User Control Panel you can see who left the most recent reps and their general reasons why.

Rep points are given by your fellow members of FTE.
At the upper right of a post are two red symbols.
One is used to report a post for one reason or another.
The other one ( The Heart symbol ) is used to send points to the poster of that particular post.
Why points are given depends on the giver. The points are theirs to give.
The number of points that are given varies from member to member based on several factors relating to the givers status in the forum.
New members give only 1 or 2 points.
Some of us give 35 or more with a click on the heart.
Go to your "User CP" and look for the panel "Latest Reputation Received".
To the right side of that bar is the point total You have garnered from the other members.
At one time there was a listing of members by the totals and there would be a #1, #2, and #3 and so on.
When the total board was discontinued I had the privilege of ranking #2 with X_Hemi_Guy in 1st place.
Here's what the listing looked like:

No one knows where we rank now-a-days.
I currently am over 20k points thank to the kind generosity of the wonderful members here.

Doing good. He's been keeping me up at night but what do you expect for being 6 weeks old??!! He has definitely enjoyed our drives in the truck! He even joined me for an off-road adventure in the truck last week.

Nice screen capture Bird...!...

Ahh...the good ole' days...

I remember when we used to sort by the aforementioned choice and see Admin, Super Mods, Mods, etc...ALL dominating that list...

I'll assume it was merely coincidental that once they were displaced (by no one violating any "posted" and "agreed to" forum rules)...that's when that sort option disappeared...don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist or anything...

I KNOW what it took to accrue the amount of points we all accrued...and I'll contend there is absolutely NO WAY anyone could do it otherwise...

So...has anyone seen my bourbon thread in here?...Tracey and I took the bus down to the Smokies and then stopped along the bourbon trail last month...WHAT A BLAST!...we'll be having our friends over (after deer season of course) to have adult night with a bourbon tasting and I'll break out the Hookah as well...

Nice to see everyone enjoying themselves harmlessly...AGAIN...

Time to clean up...got to catch a plane to SoCal...

Joe.

The term "Criminal Past" is an offense to a wonderful experience of friendship and respect.
We had and still have the ability to distribute symbols of that fellowship.

No offence intended Bryan. Sorry if you read it that way. It was intended as a tongue in cheek reference to how all of us game players were singled out and scolded for playing, then they took the scoresheet away.

I see you have a 69 Trans Am!
I had a 69 Firebird convertible with the same 400 ram-air, hood mounted tach, but with a turbo-400 trans instead of the 4spd, it even had AC (rare with a rag-top)..........Man, to have that and my 67 Mustang GT fastback again!...........I would retire on the proceeds.
