04 oil pipe removal

Hi guys, I've read all i can find on here hoping someone can tell me what im missing. I'm trying to check the o'rings on my injectors on right hand side as i have found an issue on the left side. I have the oil rail loose and simply havent found a combo that works to remove the stand pipe.

Thanks for any help!!!!

Is the oil rail straight or "wavy"?

Unscrew the standpipe with the rail in place. Pop the rail loose and slightly roll it towards the center of the motor. The standpipe will slide out over the top of the heater box then you can remove the rail.

Thanks parts man, to make sure we are on the same page, i cant seem to get the stand pipe free from the rail. the plug on top with a short piece is out but the long piece that reaches into the engine is still atached to the oil rail with no room to pull the pipe out.

Hey Ed...

No direct experience on my part - as I have only done the driver's side... But here's a great thread from the Tech F0lder that will help immensely. Towards the bottom of the thread Bismic added some videos that I used to help me get through the procedure.

ya you have the ealy style pipe. its just stuck. a pair of neddle nose pliers and wiggle /pry the pipe down and out of the rail.
