Offenhauser heating plate

I see there is a site selling the heating plates for the Offenhauser C intake manifolds, or the Offenhauser DP.

I tend to be hesitant when dealing with unknown companies, but this one was pleasant to deal with. He shipped quickly, and his product worked great. I wanted to pass along the info. truckmeblue dot com.

After hearing he had shut his site down I did some re-con and was able to track him down through e-mail and left my cell #. He e-mailed me and called me promptly. We talked for a bit about my application and some other car/truck stuff and I ordered a stud kit from him. I am looking forward to seeing them soon as I have a brand new set of EFI mani's which I road tripped to ILL. through KY. too pick them up from a member of the this forum. I am anxious to see if the kit will work with my Clifford 3x2 Weber mani and the EFI exhaust. He seems like a real nice guy. I saw something the other day that he may re-open the site he had.

Offenhauser Heating Plate

Hey guys,

Been reading this site for a while, plus the fordsix dot com and others.

I've got an 82 Bronco, 300 (now a 306) I-6, T-18, BW1354, 3.50 gears.

Just had the motor entirely rebuilt, rebuild kit by Grumpy's out of Oregon. "gasket set wasn't great", RV cam, bored .040 over, EFI exhausts. Still not in the Bronco, but plans are to get an Offenhauser DP, and either a Holley 390, or Edelbrock 500.

I've read here that someone builds and sells the heating plate for the Offy's / Clifford intakes. I checked out the website Fordblue dot com, but that's down, and saw someone knows how to get in contact via email. Could you provide me the email, as I want to get the stud kit and plate so that when I get everything together, I'll be ready to bolt it in and go!

Guilty! I'm the guy who had the truckmeblue site. There just wasn't enough demand for the parts to keep the business going. I still make the odd heating plate for forum members, but most guys run for the hills when I tell them the price. The materials for the manifold cost me over $50, with 1/4" or 5/16" plate, steel tubing, elbows and hose fittings, paint, drill bits, welding wire.... It also takes about 3 hours labor, and I was charging $85, and that includes shipping.

The stud kits cost $45, all grade 8, with crimp nuts and washers.

I don't think $85 is out of line at all. If they don't like your price they can always order one from here: Raso Enterprises Auto Parts

Everyone wants to dance...but not everyone is willing to pay the band.

I guess it's been a while since I made them, so I've forgotten what a pain they are for such little cash! ha ha. Anyway, guys on the forum keep asking me, so I'm making a few. If you want one just let me know. $85.

I'm all for supporting the "little guy" so I will be ordering a heat plate from f250restorer once I get a few minor things installed (thermostat & mechanical temp gauge) and ordered like the headers and cherrybomb glasspacks.

Made two yesterday. My face is 'sunburned' from welder's flash. My thumb is burned. My ankle hurts where an ember got in my sock and caught fire, reminding me why welder's love slip on boots! Fun time was had by all!

Those two were my last. No more.
