$100 is a little to high (by about $50 bucks and still making 100 percent profit) don't you think. I beleive you could make one for about $20 bucks or less

If you had the scrap and steel laying around your shop, and used some nice looking plumbing elbows for that custom Frankenstein look, you probably could make one for about $20. But if you have to purchase the items you'll have a rude awakening. The elbows I use cost $13.50 each. Then add to that $13.00 for two hose fittings, the steel plate, steel tube, gasket material, paint, drill bits, welding wire, grinding discs, and shipping fee, and you soon find cost to be over $50. So you work for about 3 hours for $50, less the gas you burned running around and buying the parts, and taking the manifold to the post office. Yeps, I know $100 seems like a lot. But the reality is that it is a small amount.

Its not too high, I think his price is perfect plus he does quality work. Goodluck finding the same plate with fittings and all for around $100 from some corporation, you will not. Once my finances turn around, I'm ordering one for an OffyC so I will have one when I need it. Hoping this second part time job with O'Rielley auto parts pulls thru and I get it, sure would be great

BTW, my G-ma makes her own jeans for much cheaper than she can buy them for, but they do look a bit different than Levi's too.
There are several ways to "skin the cat". For those that don't have the where-with-all to fab their own heat plate, there are options. To run without a heated intake manifold is not a viable option.
Guilty! I'm the guy who had the truckmeblue site. There just wasn't enough demand for the parts to keep the business going. I still make the odd heating plate for forum members, but most guys run for the hills when I tell them the price. The materials for the manifold cost me over $50, with 1/4" or 5/16" plate, steel tubing, elbows and hose fittings, paint, drill bits, welding wire.... It also takes about 3 hours labor, and I was charging $85, and that includes shipping.
The stud kits cost $45, all grade 8, with crimp nuts and washers.
Please send me info how to pay for the heat plate. I need one...Thsnks
