i officially hate chevys even more.... today at work i had to do an oil change and check up on a chevy trailblazer.... OMG! i dont think i ever too so long to go over a vehicle.. to drain the oil i had to take a plate off that covord the drain plug... and JUST the drain plug.. the air filter is tied down with Torx screwdrivers and snapped at the bottom.... for a normal 30min to 1 hour job... i finished with aqlmost 2 hours spent on it. i hate chevys...

On my 2005 tundra they decided it would be a good idea to put the oil filter upside down on top on the motor, so when you unscrewed it oil poured out everywhere. Unless they expect you to invert the truck or reverse gravity
Never figured it out. Just got oil everywhere every time.
morning all only 6 days till ELK season!!!!!!!!!
I don't get to hunt the ranch until the second week, so i might actually have to hunt! well at least the first week anyhow, than have to plan hunts around my wife's schedule which she gets next week.

i never understood it, like when i got a mazda miata in last week. oil filter was half way down the engine block in a little dip so that you could BARLY see it and was covored by just about everything else.... i figured it would of been good for another 3 thousand miles.... but what i think is.... why is it when the newer models come out, they make it harder and harder for mechanics
good mornin fellas! have off today, then work tomarrow and saturday... i find out tomarrow though if i still have a job

That looks more like it would be a Coolant filter with the lines run to it, I can't imagine them using those hoses and clamps for oil, maybe if I had a different picture. Not that I doubt you, since it is your truck.

hoses are probably an oil cooler in the base of the filter housing
