finally got the problem with my brakes fixed... replaced the master cylinder. but now the brakes feel all funny. after the adjusting and bleeding the brakes its fixed... but i think the new one is a tad bit different. my old one when i pushed on the brakes were really stiff like non power brakes should be. now the pedal goes halfway to the floor and i can hear it shotting the fluid. dont know if i just need to break it in, or maybe the hole in the cylinder where the rod from the pedal goes in, is a little deeper, causing the pedal to drop more. anyways... it just feels completely different.
bleeding is done... no air in the lines at all when i hit the brake hard its stiff but when i push em like i normally do i hear *spuuuush* half way down then it tightens. i think like i siad its either it needs to be broken in, or the hole that the break rod goes in is deeper. the guy at the parts store also said that when he redid his 70's cylinder the brakes were loose for the first week or two. then stiffen up.
Maybe you should re-adjust it.
That should fix the low pedal.
I would suggest that you do not rely on advice from a parts counter man. Not that they all don't know anything, but many of them do not but they are perfectly willing to give you some kind of answer rather than saying that they don't know.
