RacinNdrummin's engine has the same cam in it, with stock turbo pistons. He converted two lifters to solids and has rotated his engine over, has no valve clash so far... so fingers crossed.
Ken @ Delta said this cam will clear a stock CR engine, but it is the biggest possible cam that will.
Ok forgive my ignorance, but having two solid lifters doesn't affect the performance other than wearing quicker correct? Also what was the reasoning for putting solid lifters on just those two? Were they closer than the rest?

he converted two lifters to solid to get an accurate measurement of lift @ the valve, to know what the real lift is, and to rotate the engine over and check for any valve clash. After that, he pulled the two converted lifters out, and put the hydraulics back in.

Oh ok got ya. I look forward to seeing how the came works in both of your applications then. Thanks for helping me understand. Haha
Today went pretty well. Russ (typ4) came over and hung out for about 4 hours! We had a lot to talk about and it seems we see eye to eye on many things. He brought me a return line kit and also brought his Injector port reamer tool that has never been used. Needless to say I was quick to be the first one to use it!, it worked fantastic. RacinNdrummin also came over to meet Russ.
i am geting ready to do something similar to the 6.9 block i have i am eager to see a better pic of the exhaust maniflods you fab'd and how you are going to get the exhaust out and down from your turbo
start at page 1 and move forward, you will find all the pics of my exhaust parts that you could need.
As for the downpipe, nothing special. Just a 3.5" downpipe. 90* at the turbo then snake its way down through between the trans and firewall into a 4" straight pipe.
Thanks for all of the condolences, its been a rough day. Despite this all, there is still work that MUST be done while I am home. So I got some more work done today, and got the engine ready to sit outside for a week or two while I'm gone.
I had to put the lines on in a pretty ****ed up order to make them fit after I bent them up to fit around the intake mods, but it was very easy to do. Nothing crazy.
do you still have the old ...stock pistons...out of it...i tore mine down today and they had "mahle" on them, i got a feeling someone been into this one before
