Nearing completion.

Posting this here because I know there is a large base here that doesn't frequent other boards. I posted my old truck up on here a long time ago, but centralized my new build on another forum. Wanted to post this here for people who may be interested and haven't gotten the opportunity to see the build from the start. Currently I am only waiting on my intake studs, injection pump and injectors to get here. ETA is Wednesday, then I will finish dressing the motor up, should only take a few hours from where it sits now. This engine will be installed in the next 2 weekends, and then I will be in the home stretch

As it sits in my shop now.

and the rig it is going in :

you didn't wrap your pipes?
those are some seriously customized exhaust manifolds (well the whole setup is of course lol) did you have your cam ground to lift a bit longer on the exhaust to get the full potential from them suckers.
is this thing built up to get any sort of economy/actual work use,or is just built up for outright play?
did you lower compression to run high gobs of boost? if so,how does she start lol?
your putting this into that dually or the truck your just bringing home on the trailer?
what about trans? this bad boy would sure be nice. http://racerxusa.com//product_info.p...roducts_id=257
or are you another zf5 fan?

they are getting ceramic coated from the manifolds all the way to the turbo exhaust housing.

stock cam is something like 320lift on int and exhaust with 185 duration. New cam is .400 lift on intake 185 duration, .450 lift on exhaust with 206 duration. As well as quicker ramp rates.

it is built for work. This is going into my tow rig for my truggy. This engine will be daily driver, and tow rig. Not a play toy.

approx 18.5:1 is the new CR... I suspect it will start just like any other IH IDI.

this is going into my dually. Truck on the trailer belongs to RacinNdrummin

what about trans? this bad boy would sure be nice. Racer X

When is racinndrummin going to be done? Seems like he wanted to be done last month? I guess getting that "new" truck kinda made it a longer process to get it all in and together.

I'm sure your actual swap won't take very long, maybe if we had both engine hoists.. one to get the old one out and onto the stand, and the other to take new engine off stand then into the truck....just so we don't have to sit it down on the pan ?
