Thanks all, it was not complex as the No Limit wide ride IFS install but a lot more obstacles with the family and time.

I put the same No Limit Wide Ride in my 1950 & I also did the 8.8. explorer rear axle but I cheaped out on the 4 Link - thought I'd try out the rear springs from the Explorer first & see what it feels like. I'm very curious how your ride is? Keep us posted on how your suspension feels when you get it back out there.. (It looks great ).

I looked through your gallery. The motor looks like if it is a crate motor. IFS looks sweet too. that 8.8 for 125.00 at the local pick n pull is unbeatable with disk brakes.

As far as the drive with the four link... it will be a while till I can share.

I got a list of parts I still need to get ready to fab up my motor mount brackets. Do you have any close up photos of what you did with yours. I have a good idea but am always open minded to see others.

I hope this pic of the motor mount helps - not my creation - I had very skilled help on this one. The motor pic below is more current - not a true crate motor - bought a rebuilt 351W bottom end & edelbrocks mild cam top end package from summit. Your wheels are great love that stance the 4 link in there.

SVT, I am curious, your Pan Hard bar is the opposite of mine and the instructions from No-Limit. Is there a reason that you mounted yours that way?

Here is mine

Ben: Motor looks even more bad ***, mine is going to need a lot of cleaning and painting to get to a decent picture. The motor mount brackets look stout and it appears you have plenty of space for the rack and your headers.

Did you set the engine off center to the passenger side to give clearance on the rack?

Layed100: Thanks, and I am sure that it will come out just as clean if not better. The one thing I did not do, is rush it. I took my time with the cleaning of the frame with wire wheels and sanding pads on my grinder. Got in between every nook and cranny I could. I changed out a few of the rivets that did not look that great or got wore down with the grinding and replaced them with grade 8 bolts.
The most time I took was assuring my pinion angle and ride height was where I wanted it. Mocking up and then tacking in place. I watched the No Limit video install many many times.

RZNS: I followed the video primarily and refereed to the instructions to validate the rod end lengths and axle (CI) You are correct though, the instructions show the passenger side for the rear end bracket. Did not even notice till you mentioned it. I may have been wasted but I'm pretty sure I followed the video to a "T" to include fabbing up the panhard rod bracket extension like in the video to attempt to place the rod in a horizontal line with the rear end. I tacked in the panhard bracket first to the rear end then attached the panhard rod and measured how much extension I needed to level out. I am guessing with all the weight when put back together it should be close enough like in the video.

They did use a chevy in the video. I will have to call them to see if there is any difference. I doubt it, but only for peace of mind.

Hey SVT,
Love your truck - the engine is scooted over ever so slightly to the passenger side to give room for the headers & more importantly the rack & steering column. I think it was an inch or two at most.

Really cool. I have a Heidt's M2 IFS kit installed in my '53. I was originally planning to go with a Heidt's or TCI 4-bar rear setup, but I have recently been giving a lot of consideration to the Fat Bar. Glad to hear that it wasn't too difficult to install. I was thinking the bolt on aspect of the TCI/Heidt's made them the way to go, but the Fat Bar looks to me to be worth the extra effort. Your install looks really good. The gray (or silver?) color on the rear end housing really looks good against the black suspension components and frame! GOOD JOB!

any reason why you boxed the rear in front of the old shock mount location? Once i save up some coin I would like to use the same no limit set up.
