Thanks Ingo. Did you determine the centerline of the axel with the box and fenders installed? On mine, the front of the front bracket and the stock bed mount actually overlap. When I first ordered my nolimit four bar, I called tech support and told them I did not have a box and fenders to install to determine axel centerline. They gave me the measurements to the front and rear of the front bracket for an unmolested frame rail. I used that and got the slight overlap on the two pieces. It also says in the instructions you may have to cut one or the other to make them fit. Just information to make sure your tire is not "off center" in the fender opening. Please keep us posted on your progress.
...in the meantime i ordered and received my No Limit 4 link.
I have some mock up pics. Maybe later i will post some more pics, perhaps i´ll start my own "build thread".
I also don´t know if the 36" inch is the same for chevy and FORD. But i know when you put it on 36", the front bracket is close (touches) to the original bed mount.
I´ll kep you guys posted.
Ingo
No Limit 4 link mock up
Those are some LONG bars...the TCI kit front bar mounts use the OEM from spring shackle mount holes to mount that bracket. The longer the bars the less pinion angle shift you will see during deflection.
Hopefully we will get some input from other members who have installed the No Limit on a 56 Ford F-100 and can share information about the 4-bar bracket and the bed mount in relatiion to each other.
Can someone explain how a four link system allows height adjustment? Im curious how much adjustment you have with this system and what impact it has on the pinion angle.

Yes the axle is exactly on the same location like it was original. And yes it is very tight to the bedmount but that was okay to me.

You can adjust the height by the length of your coilovers and...
Ingo, are those the standard shocks that come with the No Limit Kit? Are they by chance Motorsports QA!? Any chance you could post a picture of your top shock brackets?

The beauty of an equal length four link is that the pinion angle stays virtually constant throughout reasonable travel. Also, pinion angle is very easy to change or adjust by lengthening or shortening both bottom bars or both top bars.
Remember that pinion angle is NOT the angle of the driveshaft vs the pinion. That is the operating angle. What you are interested in is the relative angle of the output shaft of the trans vs the differential pinion. The operating angle will change with travel or ride height. As shown in the above picture, ride height can be changed with an adjustable coilover or by changing the coilover mount height.
Thanks Wolf, Its all pretty complicated to me but I think I understand what you are saying. When installing a four link, the goal is to get the pinion angle close (if engine 3 degrees down, pinion angle 1-2 degrees up) to parellel with the trans tail shaft when you weld on the axel brackets while the axel and frame are dead level front to back and side to side, correct?
I installed the no limit 4 link in my build thread. I had to c notch the frame and fabbed my own bump stops. My no limit kit came with ridetech coilovers. I put viking coilovers on the front.
