Ingo, are those the standard shocks that come with the No Limit Kit? Are they by chance Motorsports QA!? Any chance you could post a picture of your top shock brackets?
these coilovers are only for mockup. No Limit i mean provides ride tech, but ordered my kit without coilovers, because i want to use another brand and i want to figure out the length i need first.
upper shockmount. This is one more reason why i decided to go with the No Limit. This upper coilover mount is way stronger and the more outside the coilovers are the better they work
Well I think that answers my question, actually two of them. I think I got into the wrong box of parts in storage. I definitely have QA1 12-200s, not Ride Tech. I think the QA1's might be from my Heidt Wide Ride front end kit for another truck. If those are No Limit upper shock brackets, the ones I have are way different also. Again, must be from my IFS Wide Ride kit. Nice job on the C Sections.
For information only, regarding No Limit Fatbar 4-Link. My notes confirm I called No Limit Tech Support quite some time ago. I explained I did not have the box and fenders to determine centerline of axel. The tech I spoke to was reluctant to provide this information, but he did. Measure 66 1/2" from rear of unmolested frame rail and make a mark on top of frame rail. Measure 72 1/2" from same location and make a mark there. This represents the location of the 4 link bracket on the frame rail. Clamp bracket to frame rail in this location. I used this method only because I could not find Center Line before taking measurements. From here, I reversed the instructions provided with the kit to find center line. Measure from front edge of the clamped bracket 36" towards rear of truck. This should be your center line. Just for fun, I measured from the Centerline to the rear of the frame rail. Distance on my truck is dead on 36 1/2" Also, on my truck I found this method overlapped the front 4 link braket and the bed mount by 5/8". Since I did not have a box and fender to work with, I mounted a stock spring (28/48), and compressed it. I tried to replicate what position it would be in with the box and frame sitting on the spring. With a level, the center of the spring pin was perfectly alligned with the mark I had previously made on the frame rail for center of axel housing. This may work for you if you do not have a box, fenders, and axel. I hope it works for me and I end up with my rear tires centered in the fender wells. Right, wrong, crazy, or indifferent, just sharing info.
Something else to keep in mind, the instructions that came with my No Limit say "Measure 36" from the rear of the frame forward and that should be the center line. When I used the 66 1/2" and 72 1/2", it gives me 36 1/2 from the rear of the frame rail, not 36". Using the 36" in the instructions, the front 4 bar link and the bed mount would only overlap 1/8". Just more to think about if you dive into this project.
Just got confirmation that No Limit had previously probided QA1 12-200 shocks in their 4 Link fatbar kits so I have the shocks and brackets to install my four bar.
